Kansas St. –3 @ Kansas
Both teams are coming off crushing defeats. Kansas St. lost to Nebraska 48-13, Kansas lost to Baylor to 55-7. The difference is Nebraska is a lot better than Baylor. Outside of Kansas knocking off Georgia Tech, this team has been a very bad football team. Kansas Turner Gill may evidentially do great things at Kansas just not this year. Like I said last week about this Kansas St. team Synder has been brought to help this team get back on their feet. This is a much-improved team than last year I don’t believe Kansas St. can be competitive against good teams, this Kansas team is not good.
My prediction is Kansas St. 24-13.
Kansas St. –3 and under 50
West Virginia 10- vs. S. Florida
This is another game in which a team has to deal with another first year head coach. Just like Turner Gill I expect Skip Holtz to good this at S. Florida just not this year. I don’t understand how S. Florida can only manage 6 points against Syracuse and now have to come back after 4 days and play a decent team in W. Virginia. W. Virginia finally has a passing game to go with their great running game in Noel Devine. Geno Smith been good enough to help the running game keep teams off balance. I expect this to be a defense game with W. Virginia being too much for S. Florida to handle. W. Virginia defense is a whole lot better than Syracuse. W. Virginia defense is #7 in total defense & points scored. S. Florida offense is #86 in total yards & #66 in points scored and there lies the difference in the game. West Virginia will just wear down S. Florida.
