    Thoughts on UCLA @ Texas

I really want to play TEX to beat the ever living piss out of UCLA -15 in this game. UCLA is not a good football team at all and the win over 1-AA Houston with their 9th string QB last week doesn't change my impression of them.

Here is my issue............this is a terrible spot for Texas....they are off of a big win at conference rival Taco Tech last weekend and they have the Red Rider BBGun shoot out next weekend versus Oklahoma and then @nebrasker the following week.......really a sandwich game for them and a possible flat spot.

Does a possibly flat Texas team have enough to cover the 15 here versus UCLA is my question. Anybody have a good feel on this or strong opinion? And as always WHY.

    Thx

Texas hasn't exactly laid anyone out thus far, and I don't see why they wouldn't go vanilla here with OU on deck. I'd lay on Texas in a teaser, but I think there is better value out there, imo

Not really sure how UCLA is going to muster much offense which is why i keep coming back to Texas. It's that spot that is pulling me off it so far....really hard for 18-21 year old kids to get up for big games week after week...there is usually a clunker in there. But trust me when i say that UCLA is NOT a good football team. I have a large wager on them at Under6 wins for the season and that was almost a no brainer. They will be lucky to win 4-5 games this year IMO. Really wish this game was like last weekend with this same line.....:bang:

I agree with you Flyers in the fact that I really don't see UCLA being able to score at all on Texas' defense. The Texas defense, especially the secondary, should have no trouble shutting down Ricky Gun's pass attack.

If you're so worried about a flat game by Texas, maybe the under has more value to you here?

Ucla cant throw the football, they are 1 dimensional and i dont think they can run the football on texas. ucla is gonna get their 2nd win of the seaon next week, this week its gonna get ugly... To be honest i think this could be a 45-3 blow out... especially in texas, and i really dont think that highly of texas offense, personally i think oklahoma is gonna skull "bleep" texas next week.

ill be playing texas this week and i feel only way i lose this spread is if they turn it over early..

I'm on tu, Their D is insane while their off is lacking from last year. I just do not see UCLA scoring more than 10.tu scores 31-35 roughly IMO. So if UCLA score 17 I dont think tu will cover. I think it boils down to how you feel about their D IMHO. For what its worth I have tu winning by 23.

            GL if you play them:thumbs:

I also like the UT stampeders on defense.....they haven't exactly lit it up on offense but did grow up alot last week. UCLA is a mid-level pac-10 team at best! Don't really like the match up but think if the Horns are serious it could be a 34-10 type of game.
