    A little week 4 O/U discussion...

Don't play too many totals usually but saw a few this week that I like and was seeing what everyone(or anyone) else thought about them or any other games this week...

Ohio St/E. Michigan U 56 - I can't see EMU scoring more than 7 in this game(and that would surprise me) and its been a few years since OSU put up 50+ on anyone. Another thing that makes me think this could be a good play is the fact that the public has been hitting the over and the total continues to drop(opened at 59.5).

SC/Auburn O 45.5 - Can't remember the last time these two teams met with these kind of offensive weapons on both teams when it wasn't a very one-sided match up. Spurrier has the weapons to open up the passing game when it is needed even though he hasn't really had to so far and Cam Newton is the only reason I'm not on the SC ML big this week. Could see this going anywhere from both teams scoring in the mid 20's to a barn burner.

BGSU/Michigan U 58.5 - I know Michigan hasn't exactly been lights out so far but how many points can Bowling Green really put up in this game? Coming off of a pretty poor defensive performance against an FCS school I see them coming out to prove a point in this one. Another case of the line moving down while the public pounds the over as well.

Feel free to bring up other totals you like or tell me I'm dumb on any of these thoughts

on THE Ohio State Univeristy taking on EMU......that total from all accounts i can see opened at 54 and has been bet up to as high as 56.5 in some places. Really tough game as I think that the number is about right. One thing, though, is that EMU (no duh) is not an Ohio school.....Tressel i think in the past has had a tendency to not run it up into the 50's and above on the in state MAC schools...this is not one of those schools. And with Big10 play starting next week, to me OSU rolls in this one. This is a different mindset in Cbus this year and from everything I've read it all started with the Purdue loss last year. This team has a businesslike approach to every game and the days of grab ass late heroics to beat teams like Ohio is not there this year. The other thing is that you know OSU will come up with some cheap touchdowns on defense and special teams against a garbage team like EMU. I mean seriously....CMU put 48 up on them @ EMU last weekend.....you really want to bet that OSU doesn't do the same thing? Not me.....

I am going to most likely be on the SCAR Over too in some form......but i am more likely to be on the SCAR team Over....AUB has had problems on offense the past 2 weeks and loing their starting RT doesn't help matters.

Good thread........and quite honestly, i think people overlook college totals for whatever reason...they are no where near as sharp as the game lines IMO and there is money to be had here....will toss in my 2 cents later in the week when the team totals come out.
