A couple for me
UGA -2 2 Units
It's one that just looks right to me. Arkansas seems rather popular but has lit up two bad teams while it isn't easy to walk between the hedges and beat up on UGA. I'll tail Boiler and roll with UGA today.
Minnesota +12 2 Units
The USC program really has no momentum or excitement surrounding it and I think that has to have an effect on the players. The mood at the UVA game was brutal and with the lack of a payoff at the end it seems like they aren't playing with as much energy. I also think their is a noticeable talent drop at the skill positions and that will allow Minnesota to hang around this game. Minnesota dropped a kick in the sack game last week against a more motivated team when Minnesota was possibly looking ahead. I think that will help focus and Virginia was able to run on USC and I think Minnesota will have some success as well with a heavy dose of the run and sprinkle in the play action.
Arizona St +12 2 Units
I like Arizona St's quick tempo offense to score some points. I like that Wisconsin is shortening the field with Toon and Gilreath out. I like the speed that ASU brings. And I like the confidence that they bring. They have played in a venue like this before (arguably more daunting in Autzen Stadium last year) and it didn't go well. But the players have experienced a shaking stadium where there heads feel like they will explode. I think ASU scores enough to stay in the game for atleast the first quarter and a half which I think carries them through to the end of the game. Wisconsin can maul them with the run game but without the 2 Wr's ASU won't be as penalized for creeping more guys into the box and with their team speed they could cause problems for the Wisconsin run game.
Miss St +8 3 Units
I have some thoughts in the discussion thread but I like Dan Mullen, his team's effort and their scheme. I think LSU is overrated and can be stopped on offense. As long as MSU moves the ball a little (and they have had success against LSU) they should be fine.
Texas Tech +140 2 Units
I just don't like how Texas has looked. Gilbert has struggled with consistency in the passing game and they haven't found any consistent, electric threat on the ground. I think they struggle to move the ball as they step up in competition and I think they show the #6 ranking is a little high.
Arizona -1 3 Units
Great matchup, but I'll take the home team with the more explosive passing game in a game of two very good defenses. Should be a battle but I see Arizona as having a much better chance of bunching together scores as long as Foles doesn't take a dump in the middle of the field. The atmosphere should be what Iowa typically gets in a Big 10 Saturday night game but it should be awesome. Plus I like the line movement and where the popular vote seems to be falling.
I also considered Houston/UCLA with Keenum out but I haven't seen his backup. And while I expect UCLA to play better at home I think that's already factored into the line and I don't know how they stop Houston after giving them the gameplan the week before in the loss to Stanford. I also considered UT but I think Florida is a little underrated right now after struggling vs Miami and I think their speed causes problems for UT just like Oregon did.
