    Saturday

A couple for me on a much fuller slate Saturday. What a beautiful day. And hurray for the service academies. After looking at my card I realized I had both service academies on a patriotic day. Living near NYC I can see the impact this day had on the surrounding communities with so many people losing family members that day. Even though most of the Cadetsare probably from places far from West Point, they certainly can feel the importance of that day and the impact it had, I think their juices might be flowing a notch higher tomorrow.

    South Carolina -3 2 Units

    Army -3 2 Units
If Hawaii could hang with USC how on earth are they grabbing 3? And getting action from everyone and their brother? This game is really out of character for Hawaii in regard to how they schedule their non-conference. They never come this far east.

    Michigan +150 2 units
This one feels a little like a loser, almost like I shouldn't be putting in this play. Michigan seems a little too popular for my taste. But I don't care about the perception of these two teams after week 1. I wish the scores had been reversed for line value. I think Rich Rod is just rounding his team into his idea of his team since he has a few more of his type of players in there. I think they can surprise atleast one team that is better than them this year. ND isn't better than them. While Brian Kelly is trying to do this with someone else's players. I give the advantage to Rich Rod who looks like he has his Pat White 2.0.

    Air Force -1 3 Units
I don't understand all the love for BYU. Everywhere I look they are getting hit heavy. Personally, I'm not a fan of the platoon (Did this guy work under Spurrier?) and I just don't see a lot of playmakers on the BYU side of the ball. I think Air Force can avoid the blow up quarter without Max Hall at QB for BYU. I think Air Force brings back enough talent to noticeably demonstrate a growing talent level, with no question about their effort.

    Tennessee +12' 2 units
I think UT gets better as the season progresses under a pretty decent coach. I think they'll show up and play hard. I think if they are disciplined they have enough talent on defense to make this an ugly game and cause problems for Oregon. Oregon hasn't exactly traveled well early in the season and they didn't get much more than an intramural game last week possibly giving them some false confidence.

Vandy - I want to play them but this just isn't enough points for me as a team I don't trust as far as I can throw them.

    UCLA +220 2 Units
I think if UCLA hangs around they win outright. If Prince plays better they will be in the game with a very good chance to win. UCLA can execute better than they did last week. If Prince takes a dump again like he has in the past the points won't be an issue, they'll get beat by DD.
