Appears I'm riding solo on this one...

    Utah -3 1 unit

Utah has won 19 (?) in a row at home. The game starts at 830 et which will be a late game for Pitt, and east coast teams sometimes struggle in this situation. Pitt is stacked at rb/wr, but are starting an inexperienced qb in a hostile environment. Furthermore, it appears the strength of Utah's defense will be there front 4, and the middle of Pitt's oline is revamped. Utah is weak in the back 7 but does bring pressure so they will need to get home. Offensively utah should be fairly potent. Pitt will also be coming in as a ranked dog, according to the AP.

      Kentucky -3 1 unit

Louisville appears to be in a rebuilding year, and the defense looks horrific. Kentucky should be pretty adept at the skill positions and the defense will be halfway competent tomorrow.

      Teaser 1 unit
      Missouri -6
      LSU -1.5

Illinois was horrific last year against the pass and they return one starter this year. Illinois is also going with a frosh at QB against a defense that looks underrated and returns 8. I can't see them scoring enough points to stay within one possession.
Before everything went down with UNC I liked them to win, but with such a massive distraction and the possibility of missing 9 defensive starters and their top 3 playmakers on offense, I just don't see this happening.

          Virginia Tech +1 1 unit

I think Boise is probably the better squad, but have a few things going against them. VT will be ultra physical upfront, they have one of the best RB units in the nation, and they have a QB that I think will give Boise fits. The game will practically be a home game for VT, and most importantly, Boise won't be coming in as the underdog, they'll be coming in as the hunted. Boise is going to move the ball on offense against a young VT defense, but I think VT plays with more emotion and nothing to lose.

If the refs were going to donate 45 yards of made up penalties on the last drive for Boise, why didn't they just put 7 on the board for them?? Oh well

Correction, should read +0.8 units. Some of these plays were made earlier in the week, which is why some lines may appear different.

              Teaser 1 unit
              Ohio St -2
              Alabama -6

Posted in Flyers thread thoughts on both games. Originally leaned to Miami to cover the spread but elected to go the -2 route instead of the +14 route with Miami. Had I waited for the spread to go back to 8.5 I probably would've gone Miami, but still feel comfortable with OSU. I think it'd be a fairly massive upset for them to lose at home to a team who hasn't won a big road game in a long time.

              Oklahoma -6.5 1 unit

No team cost me more money last year than Oklahoma, so hopefully they get 2010 started off on the right foot for me. It's pick the winner, I believe they have the longest home winning streak in the nation, and still not buying FSU's defense to stop OU on the ground. Other reasons posted in Flyers thread.

              Duke +6 / +200 1/2 unit each

Wake is switching to the option, and I don't think either of their lines will hold up today. Duke showed a little life last year, and even though they're starting a new QB, I think they're bringing back more talent than WF, and are live today.

              USC over 34.5 1 unit

could be showers in Columbus today, looking hard at Miami total under 20. If forced to run I don't think they can do it

                Miami under 20 1 unit

that loss @ Arizona took a little luster off that "could be" undefeated matchup in November versus OSU. Still gonna be a big and fun game....:beerbang:.....got the RV ready to roll and the beers chilling for that one...
