    Temple?

Ok...I am really leaning toward Temple but I am interested in some thoughts. I like Temple's ability to run the ball and the fact that they will be much more motivated and have the advantage of the crowd and the travel. Plus UCLA isn't special on offense although they make make a big play or two with the advantages they have outside.

But I am concerned about one issue. How is Temple going to make plays at the qb position if UCLA really loads the box? This game looks similar in gameplan to the UCLA/Oregon game when Costa started for Oregon. Oregon gained 82 yards through the air and had 43-221 on the ground. Yet they only scored 24 points and two of the scores were a kick and int return and the other was setup by a fumble at the 50. Temple will try and run the football but will they have enough success to win the game? I am leaning toward yes but am interested in others thoughts.

    Thanks

I will give you 2 reasons why I like Temple.

#1 The Pac 10 has not exactly played very well the bowl season 1-2 (USC was not very impressive in their win.)
#2 UCLA traveling all the way across the country leaving very nice weather to play in 30's at game time temps.

Just something to think about. I think without question UCLA is the better team, just not sure in this situation.

I definitely see the motivation factor playing a big role in this game...one thing that worries me is that Temple is not very good..they have a nice record, but they play in the MAC which is TERRIBLY soft...I know it was one game, but watching Temple get shredded by a WEAK/ yes WEAK Ohio U team makes me wonder if they can match up with UCLA...Now I know UCLA isn't a powerhouse, but they do have some good skilled athletes, and have shown the ability to stop the run(at times)..if they do that early and often then I don't see how temple competes.....

butttt as we all know the better team does not always play to their potential, especially after traveling cross country, and playing in some collld a$$ weather!! Probably gonna lead towards taking the points and siding with temple!! but gonna be looking at it all day!

Temple RB Bernard Pierce did not play in the game against Ohio. That is huge for that team. He is the heart and soul of the Temple Owl team.

Just something to keep in mind.

              UCLA will stop the run.
Temple will be forced to throw, lots of punting!

              Thinking of UNDER 44!?!
