Kinda hard game to cap in this one, Oregon state is the better team, but its not all about who is the better team. BYU has been in this bowl and has no high expectations in the past couple weeks. OGState was deflated at the Civil war. Huge difference in playing in the Las Vegas Bowl and the Rose Bowl. Im banking on motivation factor in this one and BYU has more motivation not to mention the better QB.

Boy is vegas making lots of money theses past couple days. Yesterday the world was on Oregon state and look what happend. Now many Cal backers are switching to UTAH due to yesterdays outcome. CAL started getting the majority of % bettors, then it was more or less even by today, now as i type this, most bettors are on Utah now.

Motivation factor is in full effect in this game as well. Utah after an undefeated season had high hopes of another BCS bowl game, that went south when they lost to byu to end the season. Cal had high hopes but when u are in a league with the likes of USC and Oregon, rose bowl expections are not thought of as highly. Cal is used to playing in bowls before New Years so they are accustomed to playing in ****ty bowls. The worst thing to happen to Utah was BYU smacking Oregon state. If you think for one moment coach tedford is not pointing that out to this squad, you are wrong. Sure Cal had some loppsided loses this year avging a combined 7ppg in those loses. Aside from the lose to WASH to end the season, Cal got shutdown by Oregon @ Oregon, and USC one of the best defense in the nation, Oregon state another sound defense esp against the run. No way i can see CAL getting shutdown by UTAH. Cal needs to exploit the front 7 for Utah as Utah's strength is in the seconday. Cal needs to step up on offense, im not worried about the defense as much. I see CAL beating an unmotivated Utah squad CAL 34 Utah 20.
