I never really thought of it until today... but???
when a player in college football has posession of the football and that players knee is touching the ground they are considered down at that point.
ok so everytime they kick fieldgoals or extrapoints the place holder always catches the snap from center than places the ball down for the kicker to kick.
Question
once he catches the ball and gains posession why is the play not whistled dead right there because his knee is always on the ground?
