    Ncaa week #5

not doing so hot right now...

i just looked at line and 5 games jumped out at me instantly

Maryland +500 first with this game Clemson Imo should never be favored by this much, especially on the road.. i just gotta nab this line even if i lose i still feel too much value here W

Washington +425 i think notre lame is overrated, and washington and locker are better than they have shown and he will torch that irish swiss cheese pass def L

Ucla +195 Taking the better of the 2 teams here and ucla def is that good i think... L

Auburn +115 umm just a gut feeling they continue to win... W

Cal +185 Both these teams in this game are way overhyped and got too much media swallowing in their voting favors... with that said cal has better qb and are at home here is the start of the trojan fall this year.... L

1 unit on all the above games

Good luck this week everyone i am gonna need it :cross:

not sure how much you've watched either of these teams but........

iiiiiii think you need to be careful with that statement. STAN is probably one of the best running teams in the country and is a very good/solid football team. They also excel on special teams and have one of the best returners in the country. UCLA does NOT excel on special teams, they constantly shoot themselves in the foot with penalties (key penalties) and Kevin Prince is still questionalbe at QB. There is a HUGE step down with Kevin Craft if he is the starter. He makes bad decisions and is not as accurate.

UCLA does, however, have a very good defense achored by probably 1st round selection Price at NT.

Game will come down to whether or not STAN can continue to run the football or not and how big the gap is in special teams between the 2 teams. UCLA has awful kick coverage and kick return units and has a hard time finding the 20 yard line on kick returns.

IMO UCLA's 3-0 is kind of misleading as they really played sloppy in the opener vs. SDSU who just lost to Idaho of all teams. They played great on defense at TENN but TENN QB situation pretty much gift wrapped that for them. And they were shaky in the KSU win. They really haven't looked good at all on offense in any of the first 3 games. 2 weeks to prepare for this game should help somewhat.

    GL! with your plays.....

rushing att / total yds / avg yrds a carry

      Games vs UCLA

      18att 39yds 2.2ydsc sandiego state

      44att 115yds 2.6ydsc tennessee

      37att 69yds 1.9ydsc kansas state

tenn averages 197 yards a game rushing this year, they have 2 running backs who average 5.8 ydsc and 5.0 ydsc

kansas state averages 196.5 yds a game their 2 running backs average 4.8 ydsc and 7.0 ydsc

both these teams are dominate in the run game and favor it over their passing attack....
ucla won and covered in both of these games

standford averages 233.8 yds a game their running back averages 5.7 ydsc

standford running success might be scewed as well too because they faced washington state, washington, and san jose state... all 3 teams which defense is terrible vs the run

standford lost to wake forrest and in that game T. Gerhart 17att 82yds 4.8ydsc
ucla is much better defense than wake forrest

these are reasons i come to conclusion that ucla will jump on standford this week...
could be low scoring but i expect ucla to make the plays

also to note starting cornerback Courtney Viney was suspended for kansas state along with 3 others, who will all be back for the standford game...

i do appreciate the reply though.... good luck this week flyers
