Making the transition from bases to football this weekend. I am usually such a sucker for favorites... but this early in the season, I'm making a concerted effort to look for value in the underdog role. As the season goes on, I'll probaby revert back to my old ways. Here goes...
All plays at -110 to win 1 unit unless otherwise noted
Pitt @ Buffalo +10.5
W Michigan +1.5 @ Indiana
Iowa @ Iowa St +6
UNC @ UConn +4.5
Notre Dame @ Michigan +3
Finally, I do like one small favorite:
Stanford @ Wake Forest -3
If western NFL teams have trouble with noon starts out east... then I would expect a bunch of 18-22 year olds to have trouble as well. I don't know enough about either team to talk about talent differences between the two... but I doubt they are vastly different. I'll take the rested home team looking to avoid 2 straight home losses.
