the one thing that really scares me that no one has talked about is Oklahoma special teams...they're awful. specifcally, the defensive return game. didn't they give up like 4 tds this yr alone? FLA could very easily take at least 1 kick back for a TD tonight...and if there's a prop asking if that will happen, i'd be very tempted to bet "yes".

just to play devil's advocate...how motivated do you think Oklahoma's defense is when their offense has put up 60 points and they know they don't really have to do anything because the game is over? they wont be able to do that tonight and so i think the d knows they need to step it up. i think they'll play up to their competition, they definitely have the athletes to do so

            for what its worth

i feel that the most important advantages are in florida's favor:
qb-although debatable tebow is just a winner and he motivates his team in a special way.
rb-murray being out hurts, dont overlook that and harvin is a game changer even at 90%.
special teams for fla is extremely fast and should put the offense with a short field against a defense that probably cant keep up with the speed of fla.

most importantly coaching....sorry but stoops to me isnt meyer. aside from carroll i dont know a coach i would rather have in a big game. the guy is a winner just like his qb.

to look at the utah team beating alabama, yes they rolled them but dont forget alabama's best offensive lineman was out of that game, like it or not that is huge for a team that runs the ball and controls the clock. yes they got killed in that game but it cant be compared in my opinion like some people are trying to do.

better qb, better defense, better rb, better special teams and better coach....i like myu chances with the gators tonight.

winner in the low 30's tonight IMO. probably in the low 60's for a total.

If the winner's in the low 30s...yet the total is still in the low 60s...doesn't that essentially make it a Oklahoma cover, in that the spread is 5.5/6?? Contrary to your FLA leans? lol.

                lol... Nitpicking!

:dunno:.....i was saying that the winner wouldn't probably crack the low 30's and the total would stay in the low 60's....those were max's...guess i stated it wrong.....lol....i have never said a thing about the spread either. please find where i said that FLA was the side??...:dunno:...could have sworn i've been arguing that OKLA will be shut down to a large degree tonight....i give the advantages to FLA but where did i ever say take the gators....:dunno:...i think they have the advantage but i never said it would be a wipeout......i am playing the under.....i have no real strong opinion on a side....i concur with what stifler said earlier in his last post.....

could have sworn this was a discussion thread.....and i don't even know what the game spread is right now.....last time i saw it was 3 1/2 or 4 points this week......no clue what it is now....and 33-27 is a FLA cover if i am doing my math right on what i've seen line wise last time i checked

thanks for nitpicking and adding absolutely nothing to the discussion though......:beerbang:

FLA by a TD under the total probably something like 34-27.....out

Surprised to see so many "Fla has the QB advantage" when it's OKL with the current Heisman QB. Figured it'd be a push at least... or a non-mention.

                    Shows what I know :dunno:

Hopefully it's a good game like the Fiesta Bowl... :beerbang:

to me it is only a slight advantage to tebow cause he has played in this type of game before and there is a fade against heisman winners in the bcs championship game.

Just from an outsider, it seemed strange to me...as I read it alot...

I know you didn't play it, but I guess I just assumed you like the FLA side in that most of your points have been pro-FLA, or anti-OKL.

My bad....GL with the Under :beerbang:

I think OU was in the 100's of the rankings in kick return coverage in the middle of the season. Not sure about now.

Also, to Flyers point, yea OU hasn't played any quality defenses except TCU, but those stats are skewed because they play in a conference where probably 8 teams averaged over 35ppg and over 400 yards a game. IMHO, the entire Big 12 sucks defensively. Between the scoring averages of the teams, McCoy passing for 99.995% on the season, and other tidbits, there's not an argument that can be made for Big 12 "defense". Oklahoma's is the best, but what does that mean?

Also, and it pains me to pat OSU on the back, but the mighty Texas offense didn't exactly light up the Buckeyes, huh?
