    For anyone who cares

dunno if its true, but heard it through the grapevine that Texas Tech WR Michael Crabtree supposedly ineligible due to "OJ Mayo/Reggie Bush-like" circumstances, not academic or rape or anything like that I don't think.

:bang: was really looking forward to this season, we usually don't get this much hype, and although we'll choke even when there's no hype, I was looking forward to all the potential.

They'll still field a very good football team imo prolly the best in all my time as a fan/student/alumni, but without a Heisman candidate, it cannot help at all.

:puke: hope something can be done "behind the scenes" lol to get him off like they usually do with the bigger more important/prominent schools like USC and OU =(

    I care!

That's the purpose of a forum. To spread good regional info around that people otherwise might not hear living in their part of the country!

    Good stuff!

I hope you do Kevin, this guy (at risk of sounding a homer and not caring if I sound like one lol) was just a badass, and he was just a freshman! I was salivating and orgasming at the same time thinking of what I was in store for this year before the mofo jumps to the NFL to be a top 10 pick if not top 5 :bang:

I dunno if my friend wants me divulging so much info, but I'm so disappointed I have to vent and I'm sure he understands lol but apparently if I were to paraphrase, its mostly something to do with crab desiring his own website to pimp his Heisman chances, and the NCAA saying no, and that someone (I'm guessing a stupid greedy entourage member or family member out for $$$ ) set one up anyways and that this site had ties to an agent or something illegal that the NCAA doesn't want. Crabtree swears he wasn't directly involve nor gave a go for it nor had any knowledge of it. He claims once the NCAA shot down his first request he left it at that. I want to believe him because he's stupid to throw away his potential draft status and badass heisman campaign chances over a stupid site.

just hearsay, but I dearly hope its not true lol.

I was going to be at the "cakewalk" matchup of E. Washington vs TTU this weekend but I'm so depressed I dunno if I'm going :bang: lol

That would be sad. Tech seems to finally, maybe, possibly have a defense that isn't completely awful and now losing Crabtree wold be a huge blow to any national competitiveness.

well my source knows the guy who spent all week "cleaning" the mess up.

apparently its all "taken care of", and all is well.

I have some doubts of whether this was ever true (but I will take it serious nonetheless cuz its Crabtree and I have not seen such a hyped up team here in Lbk since... never! lol), I only say this because I am surprised there were no coverage from the media anywhere. I feel like the boy who cried wolf lol, but I really do believe it because my "insider" is the biggest Tech fan I know and he wouldn't muck around with a story like this.

hopefully it won't crop up again.

so for any future athletes out there, take some advice:

              1) stay away from this site, you're not supposed to be gambling anywho lol

              2) if a family member thinks its a good idea, but the NCAA doesnt. Listen to the NCAA until you're cashing checks from an NFL team THEN you can still ignore family members or friends from da hood. Because everyone is out to get yo money! lol
