    Early Departures

McFadden has already said he's gone.

Justin King from Penn State just said he's heading to the NFL as well.

And I believe I heard all of the OSU juniors sent their papers in, but I'm sure a few will withdraw their name before the deadline.

    Anyone else so far?

Jenkins and Robiskie have already said they are coming back 100%. Gholston is gone. Only waiting on Laurinitus and that O-lineman.

Nitts- close to 50 people have already put there names in....here's the dirt....

Thanks FF, I figured there was a list but I just didn't look around.

And as a side note, OSU's 3rd QB Schoenhoff(sp?) is transferring to Delaware.

Just saw OL Alex Boone will return for OSU.......they have to be really pleased that Jenkins (top 5 corner next year in the NCAA's) Robiskie and Boone all returned. They will probably still lose Lauinitus...i would be shocked if he came back and maybe their other LB as well.....but all in all, in a day and age where everyone takes off early....pretty cool those guys are all coming back for their senior season and as of now, Gholston is the only guy not coming back.

Just read that Laurinitas is likely to stay. I would bet my last dollar that he got a 2nd-3rd round grade back from the NFL DAC and re-thought his plans.

I guess they weren't as impressed as ESPN with his link to a former pro wrestler, or his 30 some odd solo tackles in 13 games.

Nitts- he had 51 solo and 125 total tackles, including a 12 solo/18 total performance in the NC game. He didn't play in large chunks of games this year, as well, due to the scoreboard. The PSU guy had 68/145, so it's not like they are that far apart. Jenkins came back for his senior season and the pro scouts love the guy because he can supposedly play corner or safety, so i don't think it's fair to jump to conclusions on Laurinitus. I haven't seen anything either way, but we'll take "mr. unimpressive" back for his senior year if he wants to come back............:beerbang:

Most mock drafts have laurinitus going in the top 20 and Malcom Jenkins was a projected top 10 pick and he came back, so im not quite sure why we are slighting the guy.......to say he is a product of ESPN's hype is pretty ludicrous, IMO.

BB- lmao.......of all the guys that left this year, that one hurts the buckeyes the most.

Just saw both Freeman and Laurinitus are both coming back meaning that only 1 of the 6 left on defense for the NFL. OSU is going to be flat loaded again next year and has to be the favorite to win the big10 again. Hopefully they don't get near a NC game again and can finally make a rose bowl appearence........:beerbang:

Just pointing out that the kid is far from a top 10 draft pick. But to his credit, not many linebackers are top 10 caliber at all, it's just not a position that lends itself to the top 10 portion of the draft. I would still bet my last dollar that he got back a 2nd round grade from the NFL people and it was sort of shocking to him and he is going to come back and work on some things, and I'll trust the guys that give the draft grades over any mock. He's good, but if there is a player more overhyped by ESPN in college football I'd be hard pressed to find him.
