This year's bowl games were a complete debacle for me. Finished 27-44 -19.5 units in bowls, dropping my total profit for NCAAF down to 30 units. Win or lose, this was the worst season I've had in 5 years. Have 1 pending play & adding the total....
USC-6.5
OH-IO +11.5
3 to win 3 units
LSU/OSU u47-102
6 units
LSU team u25.5
OSU team u21.5
LSU/OSU u23.5-105 1sth
1.5 units each
I just don't see these teams lighting up the scoreboards. IMO the only way this goes over is if LSU pounds on the Buckeyes. Boeckman struggled to end the season, & LSU isn't going to allow any easy passes. Boeckman had just 15 attempts vs. Michigan, & threw 1 pick. In 23 attempts vs. Illinois, he threw 3 picks & o ints. I'm sure Tressel will be looking to run the ball... Look at LSU's 2 losses. Kentucky was able to throw the ball, but they have a much better passing attack than OSU. Arkansas won because they were able to run-they amassed 385 yards on the ground. I would be shocked to see Boeckman throw the ball more than 19 times or so. Wells gets 35+ carries IMO, & OSU relys on that tough D to stop the Tigers. Now looking at the Buckeyes loss, it's easy to see that Illinois won by ints & a successful run game. They had 260 yards on the ground, & were the only team this season to score over 17 points on the Buckeyes. Hester will be getting tons of touches as well. Two good defenses, two teams that IMO will be looking to run more than pass, game under.
