    ...YTD...24-19..on Bowl Games
    ...YTD...250-233-7..Reg Season Games

    THURSDAY BOWL GAME: ORANGE BOWL
    Dolphins Stadium: Miami, Fl

(11-2) Virginia Tech vs (11-1) Kansas

ACC vs Big 12...1st Time Meeting and the 1st Time ever that Kan has Played in a BCS Bowl..Played in 11 Total Bowls..Va T will be Making their 15 Straight Bowl including 4 BCS Bowls under Coach Beamer...Kan Won 11 Straight Games rising to #2 in Ranking before Losing to Mizz 36-28 in the Seasons Final Game...Va T Lost 2 Games a 4 Point Loss to Boston College..14-10 when Unlikely Va T Team was Ahead 10-0 and Alowed B C to Score 2 Late TDs late in the Game and Sept 8th in the 2nd Week a 48-7 Blowout Loss at LSU (Now Playing in BCS Title Game) when Va T was not Ready for them...Va T then Redeemed themself by Beating B C in ACC Champ Game 30-16 to Win the ACC Title...Kan has went 11-1 SU But also 10-1 ATS which is Great but some Early Lines were to Low in Not Believing the Type of Team Kan had...Kan Off Ave 44.3 Points per Game while Va T Offense Ave 29.3 Points per Game with Both Teams Defense Holding Teams to Under 20 Points per Game with Kan Allowing Only 16/Game and Va T Allowing Only 15.5/Game...Over is 6-2 in Kan Last 8 Games as Underdog and Over is 14-6 in Kan Last 20 Non Conf Games...Kan is 19-7 ATS in Last 26 Games Overall....Va T is 12-3 ATS in their Last 15 Thursday Nite Games...Kan is Lead at QB Todd Reesing...3254 Yards..62.5% Comp...32 TDs/ 6 INTs..Great Ratio...RB McAnderson...1050 Yards..16 TDs with 6.0 Ave...Va T is Lead at QB Sean Glennon...1636 Yards..11 TDs/3 INTs with Taylor getting Some Action...916 Yards...5 TDs/2 INTs....and RB Ore..876 Yards with 8 TDs..3.6 Ave...Both Teams have Great Defenses with Kan Holding Teams to 89.8 Yards Rushing and Va T Holding Teams to 86 Yards Rushing...Va T has the Overall Edge by Allowing about 25 Less Yards on Defense Overall than Kan..Game will Most Likely Go Under but I Guess I'm Sticking to Sides Right Now...Strength of Schedule has Kan Playing the #109th Ranked Out of #119th Teams...Kan Schedule was Good to Them this Season Leaving Off Texas and Oklahoma so Kan was Able to Rank 2nd in Scoring at 44.3 pts/G and 6th in Total Yards....But I Believe this was done by Playing a Weak Schedule while Va T Played their ACC Schedule Plus a LSU Team and East Caolina Bowl Bound Team in Non Conf Play..Va T is 3rd in NCAA with 43 Sacks and Tied for 5th with 21 INTs returning 5 for TDs..then on Special Teams Va T has Blocked a FG and Extra Pt Returning the Latter for 2 Pt Conversion and has Returned 2 Punts and 1 Kickoff for TDs...Really a Strength vs Strength Game....Va T #2 Ranked Defense Only Allowing 15.5 Points/Game vs # 2nd Ranked Kan Offense in Scoring at 44.3 Points/Game......Here is what I See...Really Think Va T has Played a Much Stonger Schedule that will Make the Difference in this Game...Kan has a Very Good Team I Just think Va T will Controll the Pace of the Game and Kan will be Picking their QB Up Time after Time...I Hate to Make this Pick..But...So...

Congrats on a big win last night!!Your Neer's can hang with anyone at anytime. Every team has a Pitt game, they happen that is why they play the games. All the doubters forgot that WVU was No 1. in the country and they have one of the best spread option QB's ever to run that system. I can tell you Okiefan now knows:beer2: Looking forward to the big game in Morgantown next year should be a good indication of where our programs stand as it relates to the 2009 BCS!Now lets bring home another with the Hokies!!BOL!:toast:

          SATURDAY BOWL:INTERNATIONAL BOWL
          Rogers,Centre:Toronto, Canada

(7-5) Rutgers vs (7-5) Ball St

Big East vs MAC...Rutg is 9-2-1 SU but 5-6 ATS vs Current MAC Teams...Rutg is 2-0 as a Double Digit Away Favorite while B St is 3-1 as an Away Dog...Both Teams Played 2 Teams the Same...Buffalo and Navy...Rutg Beat Navy by 17 Points and Buffalo by 35 Points...while B St Beat Navy by 3 Points and Buffalo by 35 Points...After Last Year Cinderella Season for Rutg 10-2 in 2006 then they Dropped off to 7-5 this Season...Rutg Beat #2 Ranked S. Florida But then Dropped 3 of their Last 5 Games in Big East Play..which Included a 41-38 Loss to Louisville were they Lead by 18 in the 2nd Half but Lost the Final Game of the Season...While Rutg had an Off Season then B St had a Season that Exceeded Expectations by Winning the Share of the MAC West Crown with their Only MAC Losses were to the 2 Div Champs (C Mich and Miami, OH)...B St is happy to be Making their 1st Bowl Appearance Since 1996...and when B St Played at Nebraska to a 41-40 Game Until we Found out how Weak that Nebr was this Season..Rutg just had a Really Bad Finish to their Season like a Said by Lossing 3 of Last 5 Games Going 1-4 ATS during that Span..But QB Teel was Inconsistent with a Thumb Injury Down the Stretch...B St is 11-4 ATS in their Last 15 Games Overall ...Rutg is 7-3 ATS vs a Team with a Winning Record..Most of the People Picking this Game is Backing Rutg 70%-30%..(So Public is All Over Rutgers)...Based on Strength of Schedule B St is #90th and Rutg is #60th and my Power Rating has Rutg Winning by 13.74 Points with Total in the Mid to Upper 60's...B St is Lead at QB Nate Davis..3376 Yards..57.1% Comp..27 TDs/6 INTs..RB Edmonds lead Team in Rushing with 526 Yards with 6 TDs ave 3.8 Yards/Carry..WR Dante Love had 87 Rec 1229 Yards..9 TDs and Ranks #7th in the NCAA in All Purpose Yards Ave 197 Yards per Game..Also TE Darius Hill with 56 Catches and Mackey Award Semi-Finalist for TE for 837 Yards and 9 TDs...I Don't Post this Much but Punter Chris Miller is Ave 45.8 Yards Ave per Punt...Now Rutg is Lead at QB Teel..2844 Yards..57.7 Comp % with 17 TDs/12 INTs..(Injured Thump was Banged up for 8 Games for Teel)..But Main Weapon was RB Ray Rice Ranked #3rd in Nation with 1732 Yards with 20 TDs and an 5.0 Ave/Carry...Rutg Missed FB Leonard (Now in NFL) for a Few Games getting Use to Playing without a Great Blocker/Runner and Rec....But Rutg Adjusted and Opened up the Passing game to Help Rice by Getting 7, 8 or even 9 Defensive Players in Box...So for Only the 26th Time in NCAA History 2 WR's Both Caught Over 1000 Yards Each...Britt had 56 Rec for 2207 Yards with 7 TDs and Underwood had 62 Rec for 1028 Yards and 6 TDs...Ave 19.8 and 16.6 Yards per Catch Ave...Great Duo Stats..Now B St will have Problems to Stack the Line to Stop Rice or Pull the Safties Outside to Help on Britt and Underwood...Both Teams are Ave Over 30 Points/G...B St Ave 31.6 Pts/G and Rutg Ave 31.2 Pts/G...So they can Both Score..Both Defense have Given up Yards with B St giving Up 26.3 Pts/G and Rutg giving up 21.2 Pts/G...Rutg Defense is the Key..Some Games they Play Hard and Keep teams Contained and Other Games they Played Badly..B St Strength is Passing the Ball and Rutg Strength is their Pass Defense Ranked #2nd in Nation just Giving up 160.6 Yards/Game...B St QB Davis Lead the MAC in Passing with Ave of 281.3 Yards/Game (Which is a Good Rank for the MAC)...Weakness of B St is that B St Ranks 3rd in the MAC in Points Allowed...B St is 0-3 Record in Bowl Games as a Division 1A School while Rutg will be Playing in their 3rd Straight Bowl...One of the Few Problems for Rutg is that it has Scored 42 Times in 47 Trips Inside of the 20 Yardline But Only 25 of Those Scores have Been Touchdowns...Bad %...Here is What I See..A High Scoring Game that will be Played in a Dome...Rutg will Score into the 40's and B St will Score in the Mid to Upper 20's in a Wild Exciting Game that Coach Schiano will have his Boys Ready to Play Football...Rut Last Game was that 41-38 Loss to Louisville when they had a 18 Point Lead in the 2nd Half...and That has Been Gnawing at Coach and the Rutgers Players for Over a Month Back on Nov 29th and Rutg Ending the Season on a Positive Note...So..

              SUNDAY BOWL: GMAC BOWL
              Ladd-Peebles Stadium: Mobile Al

(8-4) Bowling Green vs (9-4) Tulsa

C-USA vs MAC...This is a Bowl Game that should be Played a Week ago...Tulsa comes into this Game as the Top Ranked Offense in Div 1A with 543 Yards per Game and the 3rd Ranked Passing Offense Ave 375 Yards per Game...Bad News for Tulsa is That they Play Poor Defense Allowing 469 Yards per Game...Now B Green is Ave 417 Yards on Offense Ranking them #44th in Div 1A But like Tulsa does B Green Also gives up Over 400 Yards on Defense...413 Ave...Tulsa is Ave 39.5 Pts/Game and B Green is Ave 32.1 Pts/Game..Everything Points to a Shootout and the Total will be the Top Play..(MY Local Just About would not Take a Total on this Game)...Strength of Schedule has B Green at #115th and Tulsa is #84th...B Green is 9-4 is Over in Their Last 13 Non Conf Games...B Green is Lead at QB Tyler Sheehan with 3123 Passing Yards..63% Comp...23 TDs/11 INTs...Leading Rusher is Anthony Turner who has Played QB,RB and WR has 501 Yards with 5.0 Ave and RB Greter with 445 Yards with 6.5 Ave...Tulsa is Lead by QB Paul Smith with 4753 Passing Yards...60.1 % Comp...with 42 TDs/19 INTs..Great Ratio..and RB Adams with 1113 Yards at 5.5 Ave then WR Marion, Johnson and Clay with Marion has 39 Rec for 1244 Yards...THAT is 31.9 YARDS/CATCH...what a Stat..Johnson has 67 Rec for 1039 Yards and Clay has 955 Yards...Now Tulsa will Try and Become the FIRST TEAM in NCAA History to have a 5,000 Yard Passer..1,000 Yard Rusher...and 3 WR have 1,000 Yard Receivers on One Team...Two Big things I get from That is the Team Stat of a Possible Record for Offense for a Team and a WR with Over 35 Rec that is Ave at 32 Yards/Catch...That is Just Unreal Stats...Tulsa Record Vs Bowl Teams is 2-3 and B Green Record vs Bowl Teams is 0-2 and Record vs BCS Teams is B Green 0-1 and Tulsa 1-1....Weather will be in the Low 60's..Mostly Clear with Less than 10% Chance of Rain with Wind at 5-7 MPH or Less...Here is What I See...I Would Take a Dog Most of the Time when Both Teams are Poor on the Defensive side of the Ball...But Tulsa Scored 55 Points on a BYU Team even if that was a Fluke I Still have to Take Tulsa Under a TD and the Over the the Stats I Said Before...Because I Believe that Tulsa is Close to Making History with the QB, RB and 3 WRs Points will be Coming...So..

Thor- nice job on the games this bowl season.......some of these games are just dogs....

And congrats on WVU......I have to tell you i have been 1 of the biggest beater up-ers of the big east and WVU this year and with good reason, IMO. They all feasted on garbage and pumped up their ratings high enough so when they played each other it made their SOS higher because they were all ranked. They shared a conference title with a team that was outgained in 6 of its 7 big east games (all but SYR outgained them). But i do applaud WVU for the game they played vs. OKLA and i think more than anything it showed they have competitive kids that care on that team. Which is more than i can say for Stoops and his 0-4 L4 BCS record. Yes, OKLA wasn't ready and didn't show up (which is par for the course for Stoops, why anyone thinks that guy is a great coach is beyond me.....hasn't won a big game in eons) but that is to take nothing away from the way WVU played. WVU was more prepared and played harder than OU and deserved that bowl win. Tough spot too and it was a nice character show for those kids and that new coach.

I am just glad that WVU is playing some good teams coming up. I wish they would put something together with VTECH as i used to really enjoy that game every year when it was the old bigeast. That can only help your program with national exposure. Which is important as competitive as recruiting is these days.

anyhow, nice win...hopefully OSU can put a good game together tomorrow.....

Thanks Thor. It was one crazy season, but I couldn't be happier for this LSU team and great senior class that we'll miss next season. Congrats to both WVU and yourself on a very fine season and a strong finish in the bowl(s)!

                                Thanks Thor!!!!

As usual I didn't want to place my bet untill I saw your post.......THANKS A MILLION THOR!!! To be specefic......thank you for 30 units......I was leaning more towards Ohio Sate and the points......but once I saw your entry.....I was ALL OVER LSU......GREAT CALL...I felt kinda stupid when I saw OU go up 10-0....but then the mighty machine turned on and the rest is history. Thanks for the great ending to the bowl season.....now onto more important things......I NEED YOUR SKILLS IN THE N.B.A.....you've been very profitable to me Thor....keep up the good work and keep doing what you're doing....you're a legend in my books.....a very profitable one....so I'll be looking forward to your NBA posts.....especially come postseason......you're money in the playoffs. Take care and lets make some more money.
