Nitts- there is a media bias against OSU and i've heard it all year long and i think it stems from last year's debacle in the desert. So they blow one game after having 60 days off and all of a sudden they aren't worthy of being good anymore?? I just find it funny, that's all.
I find it really funny.....

not sure I can agree with you FF... all ESPN has been saying since DAY 1 is that Ohio St has the best defense in the nation
matter of fact i have yet to here anyone say anything negative about OSU... perhaps i have not been paying enough attention... I will readily admit i purposely try to tune out the national media.... for obvious reasons.Comment

How can we when we are constantly defending ourselves from every angle!! USC, Cal, Washington, and Oregon would all suffer 2 losses or more under a SEC schedule!
...and I don't think us SEC fans have EVER got a word in edgewise against the Big Ten enthusiasts that hover in this forum! If I have to see one more thread about poor pitiful Ohio St...geez!White crushed Americans need weird energy - Robert PollardComment

actually, after re-reading this thread... I REALLY disagree with your comments FF... no other conference gets more love then the BIG 10 simply because they are in bed with ESPN.... ESPN pumps up the Big 10, year in and year out, like none other.... they were the ones leading the charge of the Ohio St Michigan rematch in the title game last year.Comment

bro.. people always want to attack you when you are on top.... everyone wants to state their opinions on why the SEC is not as great as people say they are.... the mere fact that everyone takes so much effort in trying to compare their fav conf to the SEC is just further validation of the SEC.

I have nothing against Ohio St or Flyers (lol)!White crushed Americans need weird energy - Robert PollardComment

NEVER!!!LOL....but really did you say Washington or CAL...come on be a little objective..You made my point it is tougher week to week every year in the SEC period!Sure every now and then one of the better SEC teams will get waxed by another conference power...that is not the point we are not talking about the parts but the whole...It is just bigger, better, faster, stronger in the SEC.... trust me I wish the SEC was more like the PAC 10,WAC, Sun Belt or Big 11 it would be nice to get a chance at the NC game every year like the OSU's and USC's SAME powers different year. :beerbang:All you need to do is watch an SEC game while switching over to any other conference game....and the television screams the difference.Last edited by BoKnows; 11-24-2007, 08:30 PM.Comment

been saying the same thing for some time, but no one wants to listen.... people get so hung up on the wins and losses... but they are unimportant really.... any good team can beat any better team on any given saturday.... but if you WATCH the games.... you SEE the difference... the talent differential is undeniable....Comment

as far as the rest of the big10, i don't know.
As far as watching games and the talent disparity. I think it's pretty obvious the SEC has the best talent because they have the most speed and speed wins these days. I also think it's a product of playing games in 70 degree weather and up most of the time. Once again, you can't compare who has what talent because conditions dictate where players go. SEC plays most of their games in perfect weather. But yes, the SEC has the best talent....i don't think anyone has ever said they don't. But they don't necessarily have the best skill, they have the most speed and that is #1 these days.I am the M'bah a'Flyers Fan !Comment

LOL. Lets think about this comment for a second. Every conference is .500 against itself, correct? So congratulations on beating up on DII teams and your weak ass non conference schedules to get 10 bowl eligible teams:thumbs: Beat a Pac-10 team and then talk.
You guys want everyone to suck the SEC's dick. Flyers and myself are sayinging point blank yes the SEC is better/tougher/more skilled. The thing you're not understanding is it isn't by much. I have yet to hear a word of praise for anyone other than an SEC team from you guys. Thats bias. I also think LSU, Flordia, Tennessee, Arkansas etc. would have 1 or 2 loses in the Pac 10 as well. There is very good football played in that conference as well.
Flyers also has a good point, the SEC gets a ton of exposure by playing good weather games and also having CBS own their TV rights. I dont think the PAC-10's deal with the Fox Sports is really paying off...
Flyers, also, i've got a box of tissues if you want one. By no means is Ohio State getting any more **** from the Media. I'd actually argue the opposite. All I hear is how Ohio State is in the best position because they're a 1 loss team with no more games to play...
Anits my way or the lame way.
