2 different stations use me as a fill in....kofm (impressed them my last game with my color commentary) has asked me to do high school hoops this season. I am opening a new restaraunt in 2 weeks and hope to be able to get it situated and do some games in december and january.
kofm liked especially my sign off statement...although we had a great team on the air and we rocked the last couple broadcasts.....

Thanks guys....let's get 'em big this week!:beerbang:
Flyers - Watched Moeller vs. St. Ed's on FoxOhio 2 weeks ago....it was in Nippert Stadium on UCinn Campus...about 5 people from Cleveland there to watch St. Ed's get their butts kicked. Hopefully UT will pull 2 in a row this week.....and no Dover vs. Steubenville matchup this year since they're in different divisions.
Akatdrake - use that stuff all the time but only in college....I prefer more of the injury report and momentum thing for pro football....use more of my gut!
MACDaddy - No Moss, No Pennington, No Leftwich, NO Problem....c'mon back to the MAC! LMAO
Hack - Love the color and PBP...hate keeping the damned stats while doing it though. Especially when the school I cover uses a 5 wide receiver set and a no huddle offense. Love it though.....GL with the restauant...what's the special called?
PMann - Roll Mitt!
MML - I'm more like the Pam Ward of radio....very manly and have a face made for it and I'm not too good at it! LMFAO:laughing:Batman: "If you can't spend it, money's just a lot of worthless paper, isn't it?" :phew:Comment

Headsup.....for those listening this Friday....I was just told that I may be the sideline reporter this week. Don't get to talk much during the game but lots before the game and before and after halftime. At least I don't have to keep stats....and will be wearing my rain suit. The guy last week got his rear soaked cause he didn't heed the weatherman's prediction for spotty showers and wind......:laughing:Batman: "If you can't spend it, money's just a lot of worthless paper, isn't it?" :phew:Comment

Youuuuuuuu smartass! I obviously meant Toledo...:bang:
Look forward to the rest of the picks...Just re-think the whole Gopher thing, huh? IT WOULD BE HILARIOUS!!!! [and you would probably get tossed out of the booth b/c they would undoubtedly think you were shooting coke or heroin...]
I never thought I'd say this #1: Temple is on a 3-game win streak. I never thought I'd say this #2: I'm considering betting on a Temple game again this year. Not a side, but a total. Temple's starting QB (i.e., their offense) is out for the season. I think their back-up is o.k., but real inconsistent from what I understand. Ohio’s defense is getting healthy. They showed up last week, anyway. Possible under?
LMFAO....I knew what you meant! At least they wear the same colors!
They'd probably turn my mic off especially this week since I'm on the sideline.
I like Temple.....their 2nd stringer took care of Miami,OH at home when their DeMichele got hurt in the 1st quarter and they still rolled Miami. OU has improved but did ya see the job that Toledo did on them, rolled up 481 yards of offense and forced 5 Bobcat TOs! That game was a 43-40 game and it wouldn't surprise me to see Temple to get in the endzone 4-5x against them! Plus check out these OU injuries for Week #10:
Joshua Abrams RB Questionable Week 10 (ankle)
Matt Donahue WR Questionable Week 10 (thumb)
Errik Ejike LB Questionable Week 10 (foot)
Chris Hall LB Questionable Week 10 (hand)
Paul Johnson G Questionable Week 10 (knee)
Jordan Meyers LB Questionable Week 10 (concussion)
Tommy Stuck C Probable Week 10 (shoulder)Batman: "If you can't spend it, money's just a lot of worthless paper, isn't it?" :phew:Comment

GL JoePa!
I did a preview story on OhioVarsity for the rivalry games across the state that took place last week. Here's the portion of interest to you:
October 26, 2007
Mike Parris
OhioVarsity.com Staff
Most fans across the state see Week 10 action as either the end to a long season or a stepping-stone to postseason football. But for some teams across the state Week 10 means more than that. Some of the best rivalry games in Ohio take place in the final week of the season. Many of the rivalries have over a century of history and are considered among the best annual match ups in the country.
Matt Rinehart leads a potent Dover offense.
With their 103rd meeting set to take place Friday night, the Dover-New Philadelphia clash is one of the most historically rich rivalries in the state. The two East Central Ohio League teams have gone toe-to-toe for decades with supremacy in the long history still yet to be decided. After 102 meetings, New Philadelphia holds the slimmest of leads, 47-46-9.
This year's contest should be another close battle as each team enters with identical 6-3 records. Dover is riding high on a six-game winning streak after dropping their first three games of the season. The Tornadoes have pitched four shutouts over their winning streak and the offense has awakened, averaging nearly 45 points per game during the same stretch. The catalyst has been senior Matt Rinehart, who in addition to hauling in passes has been a standout in the kicking game as a place-kicker, punter and return specialist. He has 59 catches for over 700 yards, 34 PATs, three field goals, and a 48-yard average as a punter. Rinehart and the Tornadoes will look to secure a playoff berth with a victory as they currently sit fifth in the latest Region 11 standings.
New Philadelphia, currently 11th in the Region 11 standings, boasts the same record as Dover but finds itself in desperate need of a win to climb into the top eight. Like Dover, the Quakers have relied on a good defense, one that averages just 13 points allowed per game. The offense has several dynamic playmakers, including quarterback Jordan Miller (1,650 yards, 14 TDs) and Tyler Dummermuth (800 all-purpose yards, 12 total TDs).2010 CFB: 39-33-0 (ATS)
