Larry, anytime Purdue steps up in class, they get pounded. Plus, I hate betting with Tiller.
YIKES.
Been 41 years since Purdue has won in Ann Arbor. WOW. As bad as Purdue looked on Saturday vs. OHIO STATE, I really think it was more to do with OSUs lightning fast linebackers and there ability to totally throw off Purdues rhythm.
That being said, PU had a long losing streak at ND (30+ yrs broken 3 seasons ago), have beat Wisconsin and PSU on the road under Tiller.... I dont blame you for your reasoning though. Purdue has had its problems vs. good teams. I guess an argument can be made as to whether Michigan is really 'up in class.'
Mich gave up over 300 yds offense to a really crappy EMU offense on Sat. EMU only got 173 yds offense vs. Vandy the week before.
NW got 417 yds.
As bad as the PU offense was vs. OSU, I was somewhat pleased with the defense.
you guys are probably right about the "stepping up in class" comment regarding mich. this year. However, alot of this **** is mental, and purdue probably believes theyre not in michigan's class. Or really believe they can win. Like boiler said, when they play better teams, or "name teams", they tend to come up short.
