Likely dog ML plays will be on:

    Indiana +5
    Bowling Green +2

That's so far, but another game that intrigues me is Buffalo -3.5 against Toledo. Other than Illinois(who scored 27) Buffalo has scored(24) the most points against PSU's defense. That doesn't bode well for a Toledo D that gives up nearly 450 yards of offense per contest.

I love Purdue and have a feeling the public is going to hammer Michigan in this one.

LSU off a scare vs. Florida, I think they come out focused & pound the ball down Kentucky's throat. The Cardinals are just plain bad defensively, IMO Cincy likely wins by 2td. I have a very hard time seeing either one of these dogs coming close to cashing on the ML, but that's me...

agree but those were not really my 2 stronger money line plays...

        im looking into taking

        missouri to take down oklahoma

wasshington to give a beat down to ariz st

and these next 2 possibly just based on match ups

This is exactly what I thought when I saw this game...Purdue seems to have the type of offense that gives michigans D fits

somebody PLEASE convince me that Georgia Tech is not a good play this weekend...the jackets are getting 3 points at miami, and I just think that the Tech defense is going to have a field day with Kyle wright.....This jackets team is so frustrating to watch and be a fan of...they've got the talent on this team to be a lot better than a 3-3 team....they just play better when nobody thinks they can win..and that's the case here....after losing to Maryland last week in a game they should've, now nobody (atleast locally) is giving them a chance against miami....miami??? this is the same team that lost to UNC last weak, correct?

Real tough game Bookie...Both of those teams are extremely inconsistent and you never know which is going to show up. The Miami who was down 27-0 to UNC at half or the one that dominated Texas A&M? The GT team that shutdown Clemson and beat ND by 30, or the one that lost to Virginia and Maryland?

Too much uncertainty for me. If this was at GT, I probably would take the +3, but considering its in Miami, I'll leave it alone.

I hear ya...it's gonna be GT or no play for me. I'm leaning very strongly towards GT this week, but that's probably just me being a gt homer...going to look more into this game as the week goes on...

                    offense pass rush total
                    illinois 113 377 490
                    iowa 208 76 284

                    defense pass rush total
                    illinois 317 130 447
                    iowa 231 165 396

                    avg score
                    illinois 28 to 20
                    iowa 13 to 27

illinois can be had through the air but not by iowa. top 3 receiving threats gone for the year and christensen looks lost in the pocket, at 54% right now. team rushing not helping, avg 3.3 ypc. offensively in the big 10, iowa is last in total yards, last in scoring, last in rushing, second to last in passing.

statistically, the iowa defense has fared much better. but opening with niu, syracuse, isu will help that out. the game against wisky was conservative for both teams, not surprising being that bielema has iowa roots. it was a no-brainer indiana would cut up iowa, because they do every year and parker cant stop the spread. the surprising one was psu, whos very average offense went for 490 total, 257 of that on the ground.

point is, iowa has gotten worse every game of the year since the syracuse game. they looked bad against isu, avg against wisky, very bad against indiana, and terrible against psu. illinois has much better team speed on both sides of the ball, and they have a great chance to go 10-2 this year and earn a possible bcs birth. iowa and illinois dont like each other, so there is a small chance of illinois looking ahead. iowa is +7 in the turnover category this year, so even if illinois turns it over a ton, iowa obviously isnt capitalizing. and the final thought that might scare people is that the game is at kinnick. go check out the message boards at rivals and see how happy fans are right now with the job kf has done. it goes against my major conference homedawg trend, but so be it. I think Illinois wins this by 17, but just my thoughts.
Well done, hodown. Can't really add anything about how pathetic our Hawkeyes are right now, and normally I'd be worried about this line @ -3.5 as well. But I have a hard time seeing this team win another game all year, and they still have Western Michigan on the slate--but its the last game of the year, it will probably be cold and the stands, while not empty, may have some gaping holes in them.
Speaking of stands, do you go to the games? I've got season tickets and we tailgate over at the top of Myrtle Ave.

Joe, I really can't figure out a way that Army stop CMU from scoring. The only team to stop them so far is Kansas, whom we now know is much better than we though when they first met. The only angle I can see for Army is that CMU travels to Death Valley in Clemson next week and there may be a look ahead spot this week, but I highly doubt it.

i moved down to houston after i graduated 4 yrs ago and havent been to a game since. was close to getting a ticket to last years osu game then thought the better of it. was also gonna go to the alamo game last yr but decided to stay in iowa for christmas and new years.

i got in on illinois at -3 and if you feel uncomfortable then just buy the 1/2 point. i think the hook works a little differently in college than the pros. and to put it this way, i normally never put over 2 units on a game, and i got 8.5 to win 7 on illinois. normally i dont like to put all my eggs in one basket, but i took the bait this time. ive watched every iowa game but the niu game, and ive seen the last two illini games. i put no stock into iowa playing wisky close, as everyone plays wisky close. i think illini hammer iowa and i expect illini to go to michigan and get the w there as well. mendenhall and benn are for real. juice lethal on the ground as well. i guess well see what happens, gl!

Damn, man...now you're scaring me. DISCLAIMER: I mean nothing personal by this...just history scares me about this statement. Lots of times when I'm as down as you are about a team...or my team...I end of putting a lot of cash against them, and they show up. Half way through the game, I'm thinking, "well, I'll lose cash...but at least WE WON!!"

Have you lost all faith in Ferentz? I mean, two years ago, this guy was the second coming of Lombardi. Is this team so bad, and Ferentz so inept, that he couldn't come up with a game plan to check the Illini?

I'm sorry...its just experience here....whenever I see something that looks too good to be true...it usually is. Ah Christ.....how much to put on the Illini...LOL!!

IMO the Illini cash boat has sailed.... you just know the whole world will be on them as road faves this week. Not me, I'm strongly leaning Iowa. Of course Illinois looks good, they are coming off 2 big wins at home, & Iowa has lost 4 straight including a terrible performance @ PSU. Well, 3 of those losses were on the road, with the 1 home loss to Indiana (who has their number). I just don't see Iowa coming back home & allowing Illinois to run all over them. I think instead you'll see a defense focused on stopping the run & a Big 10 home win for Iowa...
