Don't forget, and this I feel is the most important part of this game, that Tulsa lost nearly their entire offensive line from last year and return only 1 starter. They lost 1 all conference lineman and two second team all conference lineman. They also lost their top 3 WR's from last season, which granted doesn't matter as much since OC Malzahn would throw the ball 50 times to anyone but still.... That line could really be in for a nightmare tonight with talent the Sooners have on the defensive side of the ball. Paul Smith is good, but it's hard to throw from your back or throw 40 passes on the run. I know he's mobile but he will be tested tonight.

First off, this will be in no way a home game for Tulsa. Tulsa is a small private college and the majority of people in Tulsa are OU fans. This will be another home game for OU. Tulsa does have a nice offense, but just as good as their offense their defense is that much worse. Tulsa's coach said this week that his linebacker play last week against BYU was the best he has seen, huh? they gave up nearly 700 yards to BYU last week.
OU will dominate both line of scrimmages and will control the game. They can name their score in this one. Paul Smith is agood QB, but they do not have the running game or the OL to make this one close. OU will get out to a big lead early and then pound Tulsa with the running game. The only chance Tulsa has in covering in this one is a late back door cover. I got the line at -20 on Monday and if it gets over 24 I might take Tulsa and hope it lands in the middle. Just FYI- this will not be like a normal home crowd for Tulsa and it will not be loud and rowdy in Tulsa's favor, even the Tulsa fans that are there are not really big Tulsa fans. My prediction on the score is 51-17 OU. GL everyone on tonights game.:beerbang:Comment

I use two sites for wagering and there is 1 1/2 pt swing on this game. BetUs has it OU -24 1/2 and Betonline has it at -23. On that same note, and this is unbelievable to me, but BetUs has the Ga Tech line at -6 and Betonline has it at -3 1/2..... That is a huge difference between lines?? I think Oklahoma covers the spread on this one, but the only thing that worries me is they are on the road and the possibility of 4th quarter garbage Td's against the OU second string for the late backdoor screwjob.... So If you are taking Ou tonight, then you can get it at -23 right now.... GL to all on your play tonight :beerbang:___________________

I hate taking road favorites, I absolutley hate it. Very rarely do I bet with the public and very rarely do I do it in a primetime weekday game but I think this is a total mismatch. Tulsa has no defense whatsoever and they welcome maybe the best team in all of CFB into their house. I just cant see Tulsa keeping up with them. I really believe this will be a 50-10 rout.

Why take Oklahoma? Cause...This QB kid Bradford looks like the best damn thing to come along on this team since I've lived here in Okieland. The kid has poise...a fine arm...patience...is mobile out of the pocket....can take a hit (altho with a good O line he hasn't had to very often). Oh...he has at least 2 very fine rb's in the backfield too...The offense has opened up unlike any way i've seen in the past 6 seasons...
Also...Oklahoma has a very strong defense this year. Finally...Stoops isn't milking a halftime lead and laying down like he has in years past. the team knows they have to impress the voting experts to make a #2 slot and a possible title run this year. They aren't going to do it on strength of schedule and will need at least one loss from another team or two (LSU, USC, Florida) to make it to the champoinship game assuming they run the table (Read that TEXASSS)
My $$$ is on the Sooners tonight....I don't think Tulsa lays down (Paul Smith is a good qb to say the least) but I don't think they can keep putting up points. I hope the defense handles the Tulsa pro style set offense well which I think they will and I don't see the Tulsa D stopping Bradford and co.
I'm guessing a 48-16 Oklahoma victory tonight...I'm also hoping I'm right since I got on 'em the other day at -22.5 altho I really wish I would have got 'em asa late as monday evening at -21. I could end up kicking myself in the ass for that one.
Anyways Horf...That's my take on it. Sort of like getting instruction from a 15 handicapper isn't it? Given my record (esp last week when I took a drubbing and also which I haven't updated yet) I'd say my reasoning and logic makes me the automatic fade against. hhahhahha!!

I agree with whoever said OU could smash them if they want to, and personally I think they want to. Why wouldn't they want to? They need to impress voters as much as anyone because the Big 12 blows ass this year with not one legit team to "test" Oklahoma. Texas is not a Top 10 team, Nebraska got dismantled at home by USC, Texas A&M looked like North Texas last night, Okie State got undressed by mighty Troy, and Missouri couldn't stop a blind snail from scoring if they had 13 men on defense. Stoops knows OU needs to hammer people all season long and then needs the winner of the LSU/Florida game to then lose in the SEC Championship game and if they want their National Title shot versus USC (if they go unbeaten).
I agree with Hackman... Tulsa get their doors blown off EARLY with a pro-OU Sooner crowd out in force and often and OU wins in dominant fashion like 48-10, 45-14, or 45-7 or something.

I watched 2 OU games this year and I think their pass D will stiffle the Tulsa pass game. I also think that OU is pissed with the #4 ranking and need to make a statement here if they want to move up.:bang: 1 unit = 100 CAD

That's a good rebuttle to anyone who thinks the Sooners may not be motivated. They don't want to be left out of a bid because of their conference's woes. I originally leaned to Tulsa +24, simply because of the shady line opening (19.5?) & the line inflation that has since occured. Tulsa could get absolutely dominated in this game & still cover with a spread that high. 40-17 & Tulsa covers, but I agree Oklahoma can pretty much decide how big they want to win. If I were to play something now it would probably be the Tulsa team u21.5. Last year only 3 teams scored over 21 vs. the Sooners- Boise, TTech & Oregon.....Champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends...Comment
