NCAAF Week 4 trends
South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier takes his Gamecocks to Baton Rouge this Saturday to face No. 2 LSU in one of the better matches on the Week 4 menu. USC got off to a great start on the road, upsetting Georgia as 5 ½-point dogs, 16-12 two weeks ago. The Tigers blew out their first two opponents by a combined score of 93-7.
TEXAS A&M at MIAMI
Texas A&M has struggled against quality teams on the road, failing to cash at a 13-3-1 clip. The Aggies are just 10-18-1 on the road the past five years and 5-12-1 as short-enders away from home. Miami has failed to get the green in seven of its last 10 when facing quality teams at home.
OKLAHOMA at TULSA
Oklahoma bashed Tulsa at home last year, 58-0. The Sooners have cashed 10 of its last 13 as favorites and nine of 14 on the highway.
SYRACUSE at LOUISVILLE
Louisville is 15-3 ATS at home of late and it has 'covered' nine of its last 11 Big East tests at Papa John's Stadium. Syracuse has stumbled in 10 of its last 14 ATS versus conference foes and in five of its last six Big East openers. The Orange are 5-15-1 ATS on the conference road.
ILLINOIS at INDIANA
Indiana has won and 'covered' four of five versus Illinois at Bloomington. The Hoosiers are just 12-27-1 ATS in Big 10 play and they have dropped 18 of 21 ATS when playing the second of back-to-back home games. The Illini have flunked 20 of 33 tests as dogs and are just 11-21 ATS in conference action.
DUKE at NAVY
Navy has won and cashed three straight against Duke. The Midshipmen have failed in eight of their last dozen as home favorites while the Blue Devils are 7-2 ATS against non-conference foes away from home.
BAYLOR at BUFFALO
Baylor isn't favored often, but it has taken advantage in eight of 12 tries. Buffalo has flopped in five of its last six non-conference outings at home.
KENT ST at AKRON
Kent State has 'covered' three of four at Akron. The Golden Flashes are 14-9-1 ATS versus MAC foes on the road. The Zips were just 1-7 ATS against conference rivals last year and just 11-16 ATS in their last 27 at home.
ARMY at BC
Boston College is 7-1-1 ATS in its last nine chances at Chestnut Hill.

Miami (O) is 1-6 as non-conference pups of less than 17 points. Colorado has come up short in eight of its last 11 ATS at home outside the Big-12.
BALL ST at NEBRASKA

BYU has bounced back to win and cash three straight against Air Force after failing to get the green in five of seven meetings. The Cougars have also 'covered' seven of nine versus the high-flying Falcons at home. BYU has cashed six of seven at home and nine of 11 as favorites. However, the Cougars are 2-11 as home chalk off back-to-back road tests.
WASHINGTON at UCLA
Washington snapped a five-game series losing skid when it upset UCLA last year as three-point home dogs, 29-19. The Huskies had posted a 0-7-1 spread mark against the Bruins before getting the green in the past two clashes. The Bruins are 11-5 as home favorites and they have cashed 10 of 13 Pac-10 tests at the Rose Bowl. The favorite in this conference rivalry has come up short in five of the past six encounters.

The Falcons have dropped five in a row ATS coming off a bye. They are just 2-11-1 as favorites and 5-13 ATS against MAC foes. Before last year's upset, BGSU had outscored Temple 140-23 in the two previous mismatches.
