So your going to compare Duke and MD with the ole argument of who was the last to win the NCAA tournament? Man, that is sad. They have been in the NIT the past two years and that is the point you want to make.
And Cuse, give it a rest on bashing Duke already, this is a Maryland thread. Somehow it always turns into a Duke thread, yea I guess thats what happens when you win as much as we did the past decade.
And by the way, you can ask anyone but winning a conference tournament is a big deal. We have just happened to do it 7 of the past 8 years. Maybe you dont think it is a big accomplishment, but please dont say nobody cares about it.

Oh Maryland screwed me...
I had a 6 team parlay, Maryland being the biggest favorite at a friggin -1000....
first 5 teams won, yet MARYLAND CAN'T pull it out. I was going for 3 parlays in a row too...

Yes, the last NATIONAL championship trumps ACC titles by a wide margin, IMHO.
Nobody other than players care about conference tournaments in power conference basketball. Who won the Big 10 tournament in 2003? No clue. Who won the Big 12 tournament in 2004? No clue. Who won the Pac 10 tournament in 2001? No clue. Who won the SEC tournament in 2005? Who won the Big 12 tournament LAST YEAR? I honestly can't even tell you.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice accomplishment, but nobody cares in the end. These tournaments were only created for MONEY. They mean everything to Low and Mid Majors, and not a damn thing to power conference teams.
Also, "we" won? Who's "we"? You played? What # was your jersey?
