Purdue at Penn State
Penn State (8-13; 0-9 Big Ten) will seek its first conference win of the season Tuesday when the Nittany Lions take on Purdue (11-11; 4-5 Big Ten) . Sophomore guard D.J. Newbill (Philadelphia, Pa.) comes into Tuesday's contest after posting his seventh 20-point game of the season, leading the Lions with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists at Iowa. The Boilermakers are led by guard Terone Johnson who is posting 12.7 ppg. Freshman center A.J. Hammons blocked five shots in the first meeting between the two teams this season, a 60-42 Purdue victory in West Lafayette. Hammons had 19 points and 13 rebounds at Northwestern on Saturday.
