AKRON 82 Central Michigan 53
Akron was very impressive and not really pushed in their big win over Central Michigan. They did suffer two injuries during the game, starting guard Nick Dials rolled and ankle and 6th man Matt Linhart took a shot under the eye from his own teammate that required stitches.


KENT STATE 75 Western Michigan 66
Kent played an emotional game with Western Michigan and the game was filled with ebbs and flows. Each team made major runs during the game with Kent going up by 11 with 2 mins before half but then the Broncos cut the lead to 5 at halftime. WMU took the early in the 2nd half, once by 5pts. but Kent hung around finally taking the lead with 6 minutes to go and went up by 13. They had to endure another WMU volley and made key free throws down the stretch to win by 9.....


Akron is somewhat beatup and Kent is probably tired, and the Zips are favored by 4! It's a rivalry......I expect it to be close.

TOLDEO 62 Eastern Michigan 54
The Rockets turned up the D and got 17 steals and 28 points off turnovers to take care of the Eagles....but EMU did not die, and actually led by a deuce just before halftime but a late bucket gave UT the lead and momentum for the 2nd half.

MIAMI, OH 70 Ohio U 51
The Redhawks avenged three tournament losses in four years to the Bobcats, once as MU was the #1 seed. Miami shot 60% from the floor as big Tim Pollitz scored 25 points on 11/15 field goals and also had 10 rebounds.

No matter what happens, it's going to be an ALL-OHIO final in the MAC....but the Redhawks have been the red-headed stepchild of the conference this year and no one thinks they can win....even the Fox Sports announcers picked UT lastnight during the Kent game....you don't think MU heard that?!
