Iowa St -2 vs. baylor
Lot of great athletes on court in beach game that can get up and down quickly, i think fullertns offense will fare better at home this time around
Was on iowa st in first matchup and had planned to play them at home in the rematch if they lost, so sticking with that.
Speaking of that first matchup that saw baylor cruise to victory, that started a stretch where
ive lost 6 of 7 (or worse) dogs that ive taken the spread and ML, which basically derailed my season down the stretch here. all are very similar:
iowa St +10 @ baylor: hadnt lost by double digits all season, baylor comes in struggling. cyclones get stomped out by 15+. Aside from that , Baylor hasnt stomped anyone not named t tech in long time
Citadel +10 @ west carlina: Citadel playing ultra competitive ball coming in..hadnt lost by this much in long time except to davidson. west car lost like 8 of 10 coming in,, west car wamboozles them from the very beginning, game never competitive...citadel goes on to win next 2 games outright as dogs, including the very next game as 11 pt dogs
Hawaii +10 @ montana: hawaii hadnt lost by double digits since november, montana beating up on crap teams coming in, hawaii gets bitch slapped from opening tip..although in this case, hawaii has continued to get crushed everywhere they go since...
Fordham +7 vs. bonnies: Fordham hadnt had a non-competitive home game since early in season, biggest home loss coming in was by 8 to xavier..Fordham gets pulverized from the opening tip, goes on to win outright next game as 10 pt home dogs..
Geo southern +8 vs. davidson: eagles unblemished at home coming in, forming one of better home advantages in conference. playing for better seed while davidson had the 1 locked up. Davidson eats their food from the first media timeout on...
Tenn Tech +8 vs. murray: lost by 8 and 5 pt margins in their two meetings during season..murray annhilates them from opening tip...
notice the pattern? I didnt bet these solely because they hadnt lost by such a number or blah blah, but it seemingly sweetened the deal for me, but was fools gold. just something to be leary of/learn from in the future, when lines get sharper late in the season, the books arent throwing those seemingly out of place dog numbers out there blindly.
I like the dons again tonight to give mary's a tough game. This team got great preparation for this tourney by ending year the conference's big 3, playing best ball of year at the right time
