    JDubs | 2-25-11

5-1-1 record last night, I was only defeated by Centenary who won their first game of the season last night! But hey I can take a loss for those guys to win them a game, I'm proud for them!

Today has a large card for me for the amount of games, I just see a lot I like:

St. Peters (+2.5) | vs. Iona

    Iona / St. Peters | Over 134

Niagara (+3) | vs. Loyola (MD) - Niagara has won 4 of their last 5 and were only defeated by Loyola (MD) by 2 the 11th of this month at Loyola's house. Niagara seems to play better at home and has hung with better teams than Loyola at their place!

Rider (-10.5) | @ Marist - Lets be honest, Marist is a team down in the cellar. Excluding a trip to Fairfield they have lost their past 4 conference game by an average of 13.5 points and those were against teams of similiar or less stature than Rider.

Yale (-12.5) | vs. Dartmouth - Dartmouth has lost by 31, 15, 7, and 20 in their last four Ivy League road games. They have also already been defeated by Yale at home by 9 the 12th of this month. I feel with Dartmouth on the 3rd game of a road trip and Yale coming off of two home losses makes -12.5 look nice.

I agree with you on Centenary - glad to see them finally get a W.

On the other side of the Rider game tonight though, pretty much for the same reasons you mentioned. I find little value in a team that's 8-2 in their last 10 vs a team 1-9 in their last 10. Not only that, but like you said they've been losing by 13.5 to teams worse than Rider and now the line is only 10. Seems too easy.

    Just my two cents.

BTW - usually when I openly disagree with somebody I end up on the losing side so this could be good for you.

    GL tonight JDub
