I was just curious if its wrong to bet the max bet on a first half line for a game that is in the second half but the sportsbook hasn't taken down the first half line yet? I went to the basketball lines and noticed that the line was still up so I bet the max just to see if it would go through and it did. I know I shouldn't but I just couldn't resist besides I really didn't think it would get accepted. I'm hoping they don't notice but if they do no skin off my nose. Just wondering what everyone thought?:thumbs:
Is it Wrong?

Well, if it's about ethics... I say go for it. You have pretty positive EV with that bet. :beerbang: There's not often in gambling where yo have a sure thing. :P
NOW, because you max-bet it, I would guess the site would flag it, especially if you don't max often. If they check the timestamp - I'd guess it won't go through. Has the bet resolved?
Best of luck on the free monies :)

I realized I didn't max bet it but the bet did go through. I think boilerbacker is right though... I'm sure they'll catch the error and fix it. What's funny is that the bet is resolved and the lines are still up there. I think because its after hours no one is monitoring the system and there is some kind of glitch. Even though I wouldn't mind making some more cash I'm not going to push my luck and hope they don't catch the initial bet. :beer2:2010 CFB 24-25-5 -5unitsComment

IS IT WRONG?
Oven Mitt said "DEFINITELY" not! It's fair game! Now with that said, however, the books always catch stuff like that and errors always go in their favor! They will surely void it and who could you complain to......LOL!Batman: "If you can't spend it, money's just a lot of worthless paper, isn't it?" :phew:Comment

Unfortunately they caught it!! Damn the man!! Oh well, everything too good to be true is. By the way JoePa, as much as I like the mitt where do I send an avatar of my choosing? Thanks!:thumbs:2010 CFB 24-25-5 -5unitsComment

Let me guess....Sports Interaction?
I've seen this type of thing there in the past, more than once, where they let lines up way past game starting time....and I've even seen u200 for the first half of an nba game once (was SUPPOSED to be u100).
I'm not gonna lie, I tried to capitalize too, and even called a friend who uses them and told him to do the same. ONE time we got away with it. We both max bet a 1h cbb total (under) after the game was already at halftime, lol, and they didn't void it.....but every other time they did.
Whatever....if any book is incompetent enough to leave lines up past the game time, then it should also be their duty to correct any bets made after the start. If they don't, then screw em....i mean the house screws you every chance they get with ridiculous -110 (and MORE odds) and whatever else they can get in their favor, right?
That's how i see it.Comment
