    My Deepest Apologies, Guys....

    YTD: 2-3
    Yesterday: 2-2

I would like to take a minute to offer a sincere apology to everyone here at predictem. I seriously ****ed up yesterday, guys. Here is what I posted yesterday on the URI/Richmond game:

URI -3.5 @ Richmond -- URI is playing for a first round bye in this game. Richmond has played better of late....beating St. Joe at home and losing by only 10 @ SLU in their last 2 games. URI has lost two in a row but has played very well on the road in the A10...losing @ UMass, Xavier, and SLU (three of toughest venues in the A10) but winning @ St. Joe's (not easy), @ Fordham, @ Temple and @ Duquesne when they were hot. Richmond isn't even going to make the A10 tourney this year. I think URI wins by DDs in this one.

Well, this was just flat-out wrong. Sloppy, sloppy capping and research on my part. With Bonaventure losing yesterday to Charlotte and with a Richmond win, Richmond did, in fact, make the A10 tourney. I didn't research enough to realize this. Second, URI's first round bye was locked up yesterday. So, in essence, URI was playing for nothing and Richmond was playing at home for a ticket to the A10. That was an enormous factor in yesterday's game.

I realize people check out my threads because I focus on the A10. Yesterday, I let everyone down with some shoddy research. For everyone who tailed me yesterday, I sincerely apologize. Trust me, I'm furious with myself not only for losing money, but for ******* it up for anyone who may have tailed me.

I can assure you...it won't happen again. I could have probably let this go and nobody would have noticed...but I deserve to be called out. IMHO, when I post here, I may not get the pick correct, but I have an obligation to myself and everyone here to at least give accurate information....I failed miserably yesterday.

    Again, I apologize.

We're all (well most of us) grownups here and can chose to follow you or do our own research. So, no worries. I for one have greatly enjoyed your insight and appreciate the hard work you do for us. With that spirit ...:thanks: for all your help during all those OTHER weeks in which we all made money following you.

You really should be ashamed of yourself for that ****ty capping. You cost a lot of people here a lot of money with your half ass shotty work on that game. That's the stuff that can't be tolerated here at the new site. Only reason i will let you off the hook on this one is you are an "X" guy and from cincy......but don't let it happen again.....:beer2:

Each play is to win the # of units posted unless it's a dog then I'm betting that amount.

Thanks for the support, guys. Like I said, I'm not as infuriated that I missed the pick....its just that the entire rationale for why I liked URI and not Richmond was based on inaccurate information on my part. That is totally inexcusable. If I did that kind of crappy work at my real job, I'd get sued for malpractice.

We'll get em back in the A10 tourney. Gonna start capping those games tomorrow so I'll be ready, with ACCURATE info, on Wednesday.

                              No sweat of course

I suspect everyone here, as opposed to less well run sites, understands the difference between taking picks under advisement ("trust but verify", in Reagan's immortal words) and blindly following.
Now I was going to post accurate information today at what was at stake for Va Tech, playing at home, senior day, first time ever ACC championship etc etc etc etc, and would have still come out with the wrong advice today, as it was to bet on em moneyline, as I foolishly did. Can't win em all, and there no immature jerks in this forum.Let's hope it stays that way, and given who runs it, it will.
