                  Detroit 75, Cent. Michigan 49

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Ray McCallum had 23 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists Saturday night to lead Detroit to a 75-49 victory over Central Michigan.

McCallum and his father, Ray Sr., the coach of Detroit, prevailed over the Zeigler father-son duo at Central Michigan. Trey Zeigler, whose father Ernie coaches the Chippewas, led Central Michigan with 21 points.

McCallum and Zeigler, both freshmen, were AAU teammates and had never played against each other until Saturday.

Chase Simon and Jason Calliste also had 16 points for the Titans (7-5), with Calliste hitting 4 of 6 from 3-point range. Detroit used a 10-0 run in the first half to build a 31-20 lead at the break, and led by as much as 27 in the second half.

Andre Coimbra was the only other player in double figures with 10 points for the Chippewas (2-8) who shot just 27% from the field and 52% from the free throw line.
