As the fourth seed from the Western Division, Alabama (16-14, 6-10) opens the SEC tournament at noon Thursday in Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. As luck would have it, the first-round opponent is East No. 5 seed South Carolina (15-15, 6-10), the same team the Crimson Tide beat 79-70 without JaMychal (WTF kind of spelling is that) Green.
Green sat out the trip to Columbia, S.C., while on suspension imposed by Alabama coach Anthony Grant. Reasons stemmed from Green's academic performance, sources have told the Press-Register, and Green was allowed back on the team two days later. Bama is getting back 14.3 points a game, 50% FG and 27 minutes.
Alabama -2(-110)...............1 unit.
