    random monday play

    89-80-2 +12.7

    1 unit

Buffalo vs. western mich: Over 147.5

I was surprised to discover that buffalo is 26th in tempo at 72.2 possessions per game. they are lousy defensively (207th defensive efficiency), as seen by allowing ohio to nearly break the century mark couple games ago. western mich just battled kent and akron tough, two much better defensive teams than buff, and the totals landed in this range. they should find it easier to score on buffalo and have more possessions to do so. buffalo is coming off a 95 point effort at northern illinois and should score at a decent clip here as well. this game should be pretty competitive i would imagine which could lead to last minute freethrows.
buffalo has played some low scoring games against very slow paced teams like mia o, balls st, bowling green, but those teams play at extremely slow tempos. western mich is ranked right around the top 100 in tempo so i dont think they'll be opposed to playing a bit faster.

WMU really takes the air out of it.......against Kent both teams scored a bunch inside the last 2mins.

thats not good news joe, but kent plays significantly slower and better defense than buffalo does.

got 28 points in first 5 minutes then they hit a scoring lull, might need some late game fouling here
