    Tuesday Discussion

punting on Monday's card.....SYR line is about spot on and so is the KU line IMO....

BUT Tuesday has some absolutely interesting matchups.

URI@DAY .............DAY great at home and URI not so on the road, but better this year. But man does URI need this win for their resume and i don't think they want to go back home with their tail between their legs dropping both road games. They only play DAY and XU 1x this year due to there being 2,448,261 teams in the A-10 and and other than Temple, these are the only teams worth a **** in the A-10. URI has road wins at BC and Akron this year so they are capable. But DAY off a 1 point loss coming home. I expect this line to come around DAY -2 or -3. Great matchup.

UNC@NCST ..............funny that UNC is the team spiraling down the drain in this matchup (usually the other way around). UNC has yet to win a true road game but NCST hasn't exactly been lighting it up at home. They did beat Duke, but have home losses to Clemson and Virginia in conference since the new year.

MSU@UM ...........i mean talk about 9 lives in being undefeated....MSU is due to lose a game at some point, and though they own this rivalry i believe, UM needs a signature win coming off road losses at Wisky and Purdue last week. I think this line comes around UM -1 or so and i lean to UM 1H if Harris is back. MSU hasn't played **** in the big10 honestly....they've played Iowa 2x, Illinois at home, Minny 2x and on the road withouttheir PG and NWU and WIS at home.

KSU@BAY .................another tough one and i expect BAY to be about -5 or so in this one. BAY is IMO the 2nd best team in the Big12 and KSU coming off a predictable let down off the Texas win. Loss here by KSU and they become a middle of the pack team in the big12 quickly. BAY so tough at home as are most big12 teams. Lean BAY without seeing the line.

UKY@SCAR ..........seems like SCAR has been on the road all conference. They start a brutal 5 game stretch with KY, UGA and FLA at home and TEN and UGA on the road. I expect UKY to be probably a small favorite (would be shocked if it was more than -5) and i think SCAR is worth a look, especially 1H.

anyhow no lines out but wanted to toss this out as it looks like most people are passing today (except stiffy who will find like 6-7 plays on the card monday.....:beerbang::beerbang:)

How about URI +5......I'm digging that line!

Also, that UKY Jelly is -7 coming out of the gate......NW +10 is tasty and I like Kent if that line at Holy Toledo drops a little.....at -13.5 right now! They've played two great games at home I fear a let up on the gas pedal if they get up early......

wow....MSU -3 1/2 over michigan.....guess that shows how little respect the oddsmaker has for michigan and in this series. Minnesota was -1 1/2 at home over MSU 3 days ago and minus their PG. I don't see a whole lot of difference between michigan and Minnesota but i guess the oddsmaker does.

Also surprised that BAY line came at -3.

And yeah JoePa...surprised that DAY came out at -5 over URI. I really expect this to be a very close game from start to finish and 5 seems like a lot of points for a DAY team that plays a lot of games in the 50's and low 60's.

KY -7 i can see i guess. I had the line around -5.

Might go Boiler style tomorrow with some 1H's.....like URI 1H, SCAR 1H. Really wished KST was off of a loss because BAY would be an automatic for me in that case.

        Flyers,

I think KSU is off of a loss. They lost to OKST, no?

that's what i meant. was in a hurry...lol. meant if KST wasn't off a loss then BAY would be an automatic play. Like fading teams off big weeks and unfortunately they followed up the TEX win with a big fat L to OKST.

was really pissed that k st lost at home to ok st for just that reason, but baylor is looking really undervalued here. its baylor-2 at the greek right now.

k st was really sloppy in the ok st game and just wasnt too impressive, ok st was without a key player as well. I dont want to take away from the texas win, but texas now officially has some issues. they havent been in top form for a good 7 games now. Seeing that k st is still highly ranked, this matchup is lookin like an overvalued team on the road vs. an undervalued team.

FYI....CREI has suspended Sinnett their 2nd leading scorer averaging 10.0 PPG for i guess being a typical dumbass that u see usually resulting in a suspension.

                Maryland vs. miami

Maryland is in top form right now, miami is scuffling, they lost handily to the virginias on their last road swing. 7 seems a little light here considering the state of these teams coming in.

I like Michigan first half. Nice set up vs. rival at home and off big loss to Purdue but a game where they played well in the 2H. Mich State might feel invincible after stealing one at Minn.

I was surprised to see the line grow to -4.5 in the MSU/UM game.

Anyone have any feelings on DePaul +15.5?

WVU won at home on saturday, but they seem to not have as much to offer on the road.

I would be very leery of that UD/URI game. URI has a lot of nice athletes, as does UD....this game is absolutely HUGE for both teams. UD wants to avoid a two game slide in the conference standings and URI is still looking for a quality win in conference.

UD is going to be salivating at the prospect of going home and getting a win against a good opponent. Time is running out for UD to get good wins for their tourney resume...same holds true for URI.

The home court advantage at UD Arena cannot be underestimated....that place will be rocking tonight. I would lean to Dayton in this game. If Gregory can somehow get it through his player's heads that they don't need to shoot 30 3 pointers tonight, I think they win by 8-10. UD can run with URI and I definitely give the rebounding edge to UD. Add to that coming off a bad road loss, URI hanging out in Ohio since Saturday....think the Flyers come out tonight and play some inspired basketball.

Granted, I haven't been to tons of Arenas across the country, but I've been to a few X/UD games @ the Arena....and while it pains me to admit it, UD fans are pretty damn amazing. I can't imagine there are a lot of Arenas in the country that offer a better home court advantage.

                        GL!!

I think they are begging for +URI action with that line.... I'm leaning Dayton. I also think Kentucky looks too easy, but that's me. Only play I'm locked in on so far is the Heels...

every poster known to mankind is on Michigan tonight and that really worries me about playing them. When i don't see a single MSU play and the line has gone up from the opener it kind of makes you scratch your head. I have seen GOY's on michigan.......just hate seeing that.

I am on board for Michigan +2 1/2 (1H), TLS +4 -120, UNC so far. Not sure what else. I smell a flame out on Michigan but hopefully they play tough the 1st half.

UM probably will flame out. I'm on them so it has to be a loss. I haven't been real impressed with MSU on the road though.

Udog, now that you point it out, it does seem like books want some URI action. This line could easily have been 3.
