boiler, id be shocked if purdue dropped 4 straight games. cant see them laying more than 4 at illinois tuesday but i could be wrong there. any opinion on that game? tough to win at illinois and boilers are struggling, but a solid veteran team like them should stop the bleeding and win that game.

PUR is probably basketball's biggest enigma right now. They could really use a good PG on that team. IMO they really struggle at times to get easy points. And defensively they aren't good right now either. I just think it's hard to say they should stop the bleeding until you see it. I thought they would stop the bleeding versus NW and lost by almost DD.
ILL to me is the imposter, though, in the top5 in that conference. OSU, PUR, MSU, WIS (though they are going to slip after losing Leuer) and ILL i consider the top5. MIN is close i guess too. I just haven't seen a whole lot i've liked from ILL this year. MSU sleepwalks through portions of games and after they got it cranked up they destroyed ILL on Saturday from about the 5 minute mark of the 1H on.
PUR is the better team, IMO, but they have a lot of issues right now. I hate laying points on the road period, so i am not in any hurry to back PUR here. But man, you just know that PUR is so much better than they are playing and you just keep wondering when that is going to surface. And stand back when it does, IMO.
sorry, just like big10 hoops and had to respond...lol

that's exactly what im trying to figure out, does purdue really have alot of issues to the point that they aren't top 3 in the conference? i remember watching them vs. west virginia (who is overrated) and being so impressed with their defense. ur right about laying points on the road, especially in this conference, but in theory if i can lay 3 or so points with the better team in desperate situation its worth a look, so really depends on the line here. aside from a few solid 2nd half comebacks at home, illinois has not been too impressive. really interested to hear boilers take here
I am getting sick of posting plays that suck and not posting winners.
Yesterday it happened about 4 times (unposted winners) Today I played Gtown 2H and Michigan for 2* each and both win easily.
Duke 1H -8.5
Minnesota 1h -6
Duke under 146
All 2* and all will probably tank.
Now about the Boilers....
Ohio State game hurt. That game was given away. Hummel getting hurt let the air out of the team. Kramer has not played well.
Yesterday was kind of fluky. Not that they deserved to win, but that they played so badly in rebounding and still almost won. They had all kinds of crap happen to them. Kramer got blasted in the knee in the 1H and left the game for a few minutes. Hummel got elbowed in the head started to bleed and had to leave the game. Johnson got in foul trouble and had to sit more than half the game. Hummel already was playing with a dislocated pinky. It also doesn't help when some freshman drains his first three with 2 secs on the shot clock and PU up 2.
While I will look at the next game, I think they will blast Michigan next Saturday.

i agree 100% with that. ill most likely be laying the chalk there no matter what happens on tuesday, but if purdue does happen to lose to illinois, michigan will be walking into a buzzsaw saturday.
