WOW Syracuse picked an awesome time to play the worst half of basketball in the school's history. How much did Devendorf bet on Oklahoma tonight? Cruises and gets layup blocked, can't throw the ball in the ocean, letting whoever is on his side shoot open 3 after open 3 after open 3 (I don't think they made one from the other side of the court the whole half), has four turnovers. Guy is a joke... Dirty scumbag...
I think the lines are all pretty solid for the Elite 8. Lean a couple ways, but noting jumping out. Best of luck to everyone!
2 UNIT Pittsburgh (-2). Revenge game for the Panthers, and I think a spot where Pitt finally puts together a solid performance. Nova beat Pitt in the last game ever played in the Spectrum, and Wright said "the atmosphere was so electric, I think we could've have beaten the Celtics that night." Not the same spot here. Pitt's played like dog **** for a week and half, and one has to think the light-bulb will go on at some point, no? Taking nothing at all away from Villanova as I probably would have played them against anyone except Pitt or UNC in this round, but I think Blair and Young are just going to be a little too much inside for Nova. Fields generally doesn't turn the ball over, and Dixon and Wannamaker should like the up tempo style. I think Pitt gets to their elusive Final Four.
1 UNIT Missouri-Connecticut OVER 150. Missouri will again play their relentless pressure defense, 40 minutes of pressing style. UConn themselves are not opposed to running. Price and Walker's ability to make good decisions (or not) will decide this game. Thabeet and Adrien are far more physical than Lyons and Carroll so I think both can stay out of foul trouble. Originally, I had Missouri in my Final Four and discarded them, so they might not only ruin my second guessed brackets, but might ruin this endeavor as well.
Villanova-Pittsburgh OVER 141. Jay Wright has to know that Nova can't compete with Pitt in a half court game so I expect him to up the tempo here. Pitt, like UConn, likes to bang, but is certainly not opposed to running. I think this one creeps over the number.
2 UNIT TEASE
Connecticut (Pk)/North Carolina (-1.5)
