CuseFan you were one of the few with brains around here. I have to agree with Kentucky being a joke. Not sure if there tradition gets them in. I still petition LSU, Auburn, Miss. State, Tennessee, and SC are IN. Fla and KY could go either way. My national champ as it stands is Pittsburgh. If anyone can stop DeJuan Blair I will be surprised. I do see the SEC making a slight run with the few teams it gets in. The thing with the SEC is they beat each other up kinda like in football. The talent is still there very young all over the place. I will agree with some saying it is a down year in the SEC.

You've said a lot more than that. You said the SEC would "murk" URI, Xavier and Dayton. That is simply not true based on the results on the floor.

I am indifferent towards Auburn...but saying that they would beat any yankee team that isn't UCONN, Pitt, etc. is just "redick." They have lost to No. Iowa, Dayton and Xavier to mention a few.

After reading your rants on this subject, I thought you had to be joking, so I wrote my post about the Reds and Bengals. If you believe what you've posted about Auburn and the SEC then I can see where you may find my post unnecessary. I honestly thought you were just chest pumping, drunk posting so I thought I'd play along.

Good luck to your Tigers. I still believe they have no business getting in the tournament ahead of any of the three teams I listed in the A10 (X, UD and URI)...but to each their own.

No, not chest thumping, making some points. If Auburn played those schools now they would beat them. I know that for a fact. That was early in the season when Auburn hadn't even discovered there talent on their bench. Auburn is in the tourney that is for sure. Anyone who believe different should have their head examined.

Ummm...ok. If you know for a fact that Auburn is in the tourney and that Auburn would beat Xavier and Dayton, why can't I know for a fact that the Bengals and Reds are both going to go undefeated next year?

At any rate, good luck to you and your War Eagles.

I would not say they are in for sure. I see three that are in LSU, S Car, TN. I believe Auburn needs at least 2 wins in the conference tourney to sniff a chance at the dance. But hey love the enthusiasm.

One example of a player who has improved tremendously for the Tigers is Mr. Hargrove. In this game he only had 3 points. If you noticed in the Bama game he was the difference down the stretch. He did play 28 mins vs Dayton but I feel if they played now he would propel AU to a tight victory. With his development I feel Auburn is in the top 25 teams in the country. The teams combined for 0 for 24 from 3 pointers. If the teams played again I could see much more high scoring game.

They only gave Hargrove 17 mins this game....At this point in the season no question Xavier was a very tough team. They may still be judging on the spread of the Dayton game. I noticed the AU/Dayton game was in Ill. And this game was in Cincy. Forgive me for forgetting this excellent points for my case, but I don't pay much attention to AU games unless its an SEC game. I will be going to the LSU/AU game dressed as a War Eagle Tiger. If Auburn had played these teams in the lovely village at the Plains they would bury both these squads. Especially now.

Fulton, well AU is going to have to play every team in a neutral location IF they make the tournament so their play at home is out the window.

The draw might play a factor. But I believe they can make a run. There gelling at the right time.

i agree. Who's to say that they won't win the SEC tournament the way that conference has looked lately? I think its pretty much up for grabs for whoever wants it.

That is possible, but he never used that in his "argument". I am glad I at least I got credit for "use to" having a brain.

The things you "know" are all unknowns though, Fulton (and you know that). The undeniable fact is though, that Auburn has beaten ONE team ranked in the Top 75 RPI all season long. They also aren't going to win close tournament games because they are a 60% foul shooting team ranked 4th to last in the entire NCAA (which is ludicrous for a team of all guards and Korvotney).

As for the SEC thing, there's no way Florida is in the tournament right now. I had them in last week as locked in, but they've been an atrocity since and Lunardi already had them out when I still had them in, so they are done. The football comparison is also bogus about them "beating each other up". They are all mediocre. They are the 6th best conference. In football, they're all great. They are the top ranked conference.

Anyway, beat LSU at home Saturday and we can maybe get in line to get on that Auburn bus (even then though I'm still not getting on until they win two SEC Tourney games and get the the finals).

And good lord, don't talk about Mississippi State lol...
