MAC West blows but I have to say it would take a lot for me to play a .500 team on the road as a DD favorite. NIU is 2-2 at home in MAC and lost one of the 2 by less than 10.

Kent's four wins come all vs. MAC west teams all of which are under .500

My first glance pick o night looks like Villanova.

yeah i can't say that i would be all that fired up about laying DD on the road with a MAC team. The west is awful i do agree, though.

I'm not all that fired up about it ..

But i feel that 10.5 in this case is not that many

Like you guys said " that side of the league is horrible "

Kent is playing good ball at this point ... and legs are more rested

NI has been getting rolled lately and have been playing every other day it seems like

I will most likely be on Kent ... for a unit or two probably ...

Hopefully by 8pm tonight this number has fallen a point or a point in a half

Wonk.....I'll probably go against my rule and go with The Flashes also! I don't think 10 is too many in this spot and the players at Kent have rededicated their season and rolled off four wins in a row with great shooting and better D than they started out with this year. 2008 MAC player of the year Al Fisher scored just 2 points in their last win @ Ball State, which shows you how efficient and versatile they have been lately....and Chris Singletary is back from a shoulder injury and he led KSU with 19 vs. the Cardinals. NIU isn't a bad home team, but I think Kent is really motivated right now because their consecutive 20 game win season win streak is in jeopardy!

            GO FLASHES!!!

Here are some Flashes about Kent's current streak....

              The Game
On the heels of a four game winning streak Kent State (12-11; 5-4) travels to Northern Illinois on Tuesday for its final MAC West road game of the season. The Golden Flashes are also looking to win three straight MAC road games for the first time since a five game streak in the 2005-06 season.

In a 63-56 win at Ball State on Saturday, Kent State shot over 50 percent for a second consecutive game and is shooting 49.8 percent during the four game winning streak. The offensive output has been fueled by the defense. KSU is holding a 21-8 edge in points scored off turnovers and has forced at least 17 turnovers in each of the last four games with a +7.8 advantage in turnover margin during the stretch.

Junior Chris Singletary scored a MAC season high 19 points while adding team best of seven rebounds on Tuesday. He also added three steals in the game and is tied for the league lead with 40 steals this season. Senior Julian Sullinger has scored double-digits in three straight games connecting on 16 of 19 FGs (84 percent). Adding 13 points vs Ball State he is averaging 10.3 ppg during the win streak. Junior guard Tyree Evans continued to pace KSU from beyond the arc dropping in two more three-pointers to bring his team leading total to 38 in just 14 games.

Northern Illinois has lost five straight after a 68-46 defeat at Buffalo on Tuesday. Last season’s MAC Rookie of the Year, Darion Anderson leads the team with 16.3 points and 5.4 rebounds.

              Quick Hits
              • KSU has out scored the last four opponents by a count of 69.2 to 50.5 points per game.
              • Led by Tyree Evans with a team best 13.3 ppg, the Golden Flashes hold a 26.0 to 8.3 edge in bench points during the four game win streak.
              • Jordan Mincy, a career 2.4 ppg scorer is averaging 8.3 ppg (33 points) in the last four games. His recent output has accounted for 10 percent of his 307 career points.
              • Justin Greene has 19 rebounds in the last four games averaging 4.8 per contest. Greene had just 29 rebounds in the first 18 games.
              • Kent State leads the league with the fewest turnovers per game averaging just 12.7 a contest.

              Series Notes
              • Kent State has won six straight and 10 of the past 11 in the series.
              • The Golden Flashes own a 26-17 advantage in the all-time series.
              • NIU has a 12-11 lead at home, but has lost the last six meetings in DeKalb.

                  DANGER, Will Robinson.

Line is dropping even though Kent is being pounded. I would stay away.
