kind of flew under the radar, but Nic Wise is going to be out 4-6 weeks.....that is an absolutey huge blow to Arizona. He was the only real point guard they had, and equally important they lose a key player off a team with absolutely ZERO depth. They didn't have a single player other than wise who could come off the bench and contribute (he did start sometimes as well). Ottobon and the 2 white sleestak stiffs are just brutal (brill cream and Walters) and the 17 year old freshman they took the redshirt off isn't ready yet. That means that pretty much Buddinger and Bayliss are going to be playing 40 minutes a night. Olsen needs to stay away for good. He was in the fast lane going about 90MPH as far as running this program back into the ground. UAZ has no depth due to the fact that they recruited players and then didn't play them so they left, or they recruited guys like Ottobon off Josh Pastners dad's Houston travelling team and they just suck. So now they have a team that really only has 4 guys left (buddigner, hill, mcwelland and bayliss) that can even put the ball in the bucket and they are left with no bench at all (literally). Any foul trouble in these games and UAZ is going to be in deep crap. Losing wise will hurt them defensively as well.
This will not be the same team without him so bet accordingly. I'm sure the line will be adjusted somewhat, but keep it in mind none the less. But don't be surprised to see Arizona take a dive, especially as this team wears down late in the Pac10 season.
