    St. Mary's @ S. Illinois

I'm really surprised that St. Mary's opened at +3.5 and now getting +4.5.
I thought that St. Mary's would be giving points but instead they are receiving.
I know that this is St. Mary's first true road game, but I feel that St. Mary's is a way better team than S. Illinois. Now ranked, they have beaten 2 ranked teams and just makes me wonder why they were dogs for the San Diego game and now underdogs for this game....

I jumped at the line when it first opened at +3.5. Makes me feel a little iffy. Like some sort of trap game? But good luck to those who are on this game.

I'm going to be on St Marys tonight but holding out to see if i can get 5. I think SIU is living off the coat tails of previous teams. Marys has a rebounding advantage and I dont think SIU will be able to score enough to keep up with them much less win by 3 baskets. As you said, it could be a trap but you can't think like that.

I'm interested to see the who the public is on. Sportsbook doesn't have the percentages up yet.

There is much to be said about playing on the road. Some environments are more hostile than others, and its not as easy to find your rhythm in a gym, other than the one you practice in daily. But i do like your pick , and get the same gut feeling you do. Good luck!

i think this is a bad spot for SM. ranked underdog vs unranked favorite? SM looks to easy.

Laying off this game. Could be a trap. I think St. Mary's either wins this game or gets blown out.

Looks like a trap game to me as well. I know they had a "white out" down in Carbondale for the Indiana game last week and while this is not as big, they may very well have another one tonight. With the football team losing at home in the I-AA semis, those Salukis are looking for a big win and very well may get it tonight.

well it didn't workout against indiana considering they got waxed by 13 in their own gym. eventually, u gotta look at talent and i dont think they're as talented as in years past. SIU went into st marys last year and won so i expect the gaels to return the favor.

SM is nto even close to the talent of indiana. so i dont see how the comparison works? If anything playing a really good indiana team prepared them more for a weaker SM, who by the way has played the little sisters of the poor for every game on their schedule besides oregon.

According to this one website I am using it says that the public is all over the salukis nearly 2 to 3. After looking at this game I thought St. Mary's would be favored, so I dunno? I made a play on St. Mary's though for a unit getting 4.5 points.
