I was just throwing in NC state to show a matchup between the ACC and Big East. If you watch ESPN, they will show you that Villanova was the big win for west virginia. Nova was a 9 seed in the big east tournament with an RPI of 19. Does that say something about the depth of the conference.
In the interests of fairness, HEY DUKE....

And Duke has an rpi of less than 20 and we 7th in our conference and just got bounced by 10th seed NC State. That say something about the depth of the ACC? ACC is the best conference, and there is no doubt about it.

There is no comparison between the Big East and the ACC for THIS year. The Big East is much better. They are deeper. Most Big East teams play tough defense and run sophisticated offenses. Most ACC team play run and gun and jack up threes all the damn time. UNC is a legit final four team, but thats it. GTown, Pitt, Marquette and Louisville would mop the floor with the likes of Duke, Maryland, VaTech, Virginia etc.... It's just not even close this year.Comment

Actually all it says it that the middle of the pack in the ACC is so weak to get bounced by the likes of ****ty teams such as NC State and Miami.Comment

exactly, I'm still waiting for something objective! Wake forest could play with Providence, you know why? Because in the ACC they play defense, oh and they also play offense. They usually score more than 60 points in a game.

What the **** is objective about someone with a big NC State avatar telling everyone that the ACC is the best?

again, be objective! ACC is the best conference there is or ever has been
Come on, this isn't even arguable.

Guys, don't get carried away.If Ga Tech were in the CAA they would be 29-2, and so would Clemson...as for Duke this year, they have no quickness and no center. Celebrate if you wish but remind yourself you are looking at a league that posted these results lately in the Final Four..don't see anything close to it in any league...so even the 8th ranked team in the ACC would look at an NCAA first round opponent as a breather.

Second, it is very arguable. West Virginia beat UCLA... whooopdie frucking doo.... it doesnt mean ****. Anyone with an ounce of basketball knowledge can ARGUE that the ACC is not #1.... doesn't mean they would definitely be right, but there are tons of arguments out there.... just watch the games. Big East teams play better as TEAMS.... ACC teams probably have better players overall, but they don't play better as a team... I attribute a lot of this to coaching... but thats another subject...Va Tech is a joke.... 1 and done... Same thing with Virginia... Duke and Maryland have more talent and better coaching.... depending on the seeding, I can see them winning 1 game.... UNC can go far... thats about it.... come see me during the sweet 16 and we'll see how many teams each conference has there... it will be a lot like last year, i think.Comment
