UFC Fight Night 45, July 16th, Atlantic City, New Jersey
Fight Card
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Donald Cerrone vs. Jim Miller
Edson Barboza vs. Evan Dunham
Leonardo Mafra vs. Rick Story
Joe Proctor vs. Justin Salas
John Lineker vs. Alptekin Ozkilic
Lucas Martins vs. Alex White
Pat Healy vs. Gleison Tibau
Jessamyn Duke vs. Leslie Smith
Aljamain Sterling vs. Hugo Viana
Yosdenis Cedeno vs. Jerrod Sanders
Claudia Gadelha vs. Tina Lahdemaki
UFC debuts the women's 115-lb division and apparently Gadelha has some serious bjj and should be one of the main contenders at least right away. Sterling/Viana should be a great fight. Duke should come guns-a-blazing vs Leslie Smith - who looked old last fight. Duke's fight IQ is not very high to me, or maybe her cardio is just crap - because she should definitely be using her length a lot more and establishing that jab. Her loss vs the Pitbull last time out was really pathetic. Alex White is very impressive at 10-0 and while a great wrestler, found his KO power last time out. Martins makes for an impressive flashy opponent, but White should be able to take this to the ground easily. John Lineker made weight (HOLY CRAP), so that should be good for his confidence. He's tiny for that weight class so a move up in weight wouldn't make sense. Mafra weighed in at 165 vs Rick Story and being light in weight vs a wrestler like that spells doom. I can never get a solid read on Barboza so I am staying away. Whenever I bet him, he loses, when I bet against him, he wins.
