UFC 166 - "VELASQUEZ VS. DOS SANTOS 3", OCT 19TH, HOUSTON, TEXAS
Fight Card
-------------------------------------------
Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos
Daniel Cormier vs. Roy Nelson
Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shawn Jordan
John Dodson vs. Darrell Montague
Tim Boetsch vs. C.B. Dollaway
Hector Lombard vs. Nate Marquardt
Jessica Eye vs. Sarah Kaufman
K.J. Noons vs. George Sotiropoulos
Adlan Amagov vs. T.J. Waldburger
Tony Ferguson vs. Mike Rio
Andre Fili vs. Jeremy Larsen
Kyogi Horiguchi vs. Dustin Pague
Sorry guys, had a huge write-up for the card, but lost it :(:(
Leans:
Pague, Larsen, Rio (value), Waldburger (exp.), Noons, Kaufman, Lombard, Boetsch (boetsch boner), Dodson, Gonzaga, Sanchez (value), Nelson (value), Cain
Notes:
Fili comes in 3.5 lbs overweight but does not try to make weight, forfeits 20 percent of purse. Rio is no slouch, and a massive underdog vs Ferguson off of a year layoff. Noons/Sotiropoulous both fighting for their jobs. Kaufman most well-rounded fighter in UFC women's division. Lombard looks massive for his 170 frame. How does he do it? Boetsch and Dodson look good to me. Gonzaga/Jordan gonna be a great fight. Nelson has so much value and a tough test vs Cormier. Sanchez has a lot of value at that price, but I don't think he does anything better than Melendez.
Main event: good luck predicting this. I love Cain though. More well-rounded but you cannot count out that KO power of JDS. Wow.
