UFC 155: Dos Santos vs Velasquez 2 Picks and Predictions!!

UFC 155: "DOS SANTOS VS. VELASQUEZ 2", December 29th, Las Vegas, Nevada
    Fight Card
    -------------------------------------------------------------
Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez
    Joe Lauzon vs. Jim Miller
    Tim Boetsch vs. Constantinos Philippou
    Alan Belcher vs. Yushin Okami
    Derek Brunson vs. Chris Leben
    Brad Pickett vs. Eddie Wineland
    Byron Bloodworth vs. Erik Perez
    Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner
    Myles Jury vs. Michael Johnson
Philip De Fries vs. Todd Duffee
    Chris Cariaso vs. John Moraga
    Leonard Garcia vs. Max Holloway

Excited about the main event, and there are some other solid fights. Boetsch vs Philippou has the makings of a slug fest if they both want to trade, or Boetsch will use his Couture-like dirty boxing to wear down Costa. Will good to see Chris Leben back from suspension, and Todd Duffee is back from being cut a couple of years back. Also the Guillard/Varner fight will take place Saturday after Varner was ill last weekend.

Actually taking a pass this event, don't really like the prices.

Big dog lean: Phil De Fries - Duffee doesn't/hasn't had much cardio, and for Phil having only one loss, this is tough. Likely doesn't have a chance to get out fo the first round, but De Fries has more ways to win (decision, ground).

Regular leans: Varner, Leben, Okami, Philippou, JDS

I liked Varner two weeks ago, but the lines have skewed just a bit. I don't like a fighter coming off an illness. Chris Leben is back from suspension and still looking to terrorize. Okami was finished last fight, while Belcher has ripped off 9 of 10 (but who has he fought?). This like was nearly 3-1 when they were scheduled to fight last year, now even... and yes people want to take Cain vs JDS, but there is no way Cain stops JDS on the feet. And did you see JDS at the weigh-in? I think that's probably the most cut we've ever seen him. Good luck Cain.
