Fight Card
----------------------------------------------------------------
Stipe Miocic vs. Stefan Struve
Dan Hardy vs. Amir Sadollah
Yves Jabouin vs. Brad Pickett
Paul Sass vs. Matt Wiman
John Hathaway vs. John Maguire
Duane Ludwig vs. Che Mills
Kyle Kingsbury vs. Jimi Manuwa
Akira Corassani vs. Andy Ogle
Brad Tavares vs. Tom Watson
DaMarques Johnson vs. Gunnar Nelson
Robert Peralta vs. Jason Young
I'm high on Struve, but boy is Miocic on a roll having dispatched Joey Beltran, Philip De Fries, and Shane Del Rosario. Struve meanwhile is on a similar three-fight win streak versus better competition in Pat Barry, Dave Herman, and Lavar Johnson. Miocic is a puncher having KO/TKOd De Fries within the first minute of the first round, and the ref stopping the Del Rosario fight in the second via elbows. Struve matched well vs Johnson as we knew if he got it to the ground, Johnson was outmatched and Struve obliged via an armbar early in round one. He KOd Dave Herman and triangled Pat Barry. All three fighters vs Struve had been well known for their hands and Struve has done very well. Miocic has faced lesser competition and yet is still about -230. If Struve gets over +200 I think I'll be on the dog here.
Obviously Paul Sass wins by sub, can he do it again? We'll see how he does. I like Ludwig vs Che Mills as a good wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am fight. Same with Akira vs Ogle in a TUF alum fight. Jason Young is also a good up and comer.
