One of my 2018 resolutions: no more action gambling. -
Loved Phillipou, have enjoyed his fights. Good fighter, good take-down defense, did well. Alves has never been considered a smart fighter, and it was looking GREAT vs Kampmann for all of the 2.5 rounds he was in (save the Kampmann front kick), but was doing well on his feet, stuffing the takedown attempts, getting in his jabs, right crosses, left hooks and then decides to get in a headlock and take Kampmann down. Kampmann secures the mounted guillotine and I go 1-1 on the evening, losing a bit of juice. Too bad, but good fights tonight even if there were a couple controversial decisions. Couple of nice big dogs hit though! :beerbang:
