Whats up.
Ya I'm around, but I really only post in boxing threads.
I don't post my plays on other forums, too lazy I guess. Ha.
There are a few experts picking Cotto, and if it's a stoppage at all it's by a late stoppage.
I think I've read one article stating Foreman will stop Cotto late.
Everyone else is going on the decision, and it's mostly Foreman.
Cotto went from -220 to -180 in 2 days.
There is a reason Cotto is at -220, but it could be a trap line based on name.
I personally don't see the ref waiving anything off unless it's by cuts.
Cotto has to have that line almost completely due to name recognition. No way Foreman is stopping Cotto. Unless it is via nasty cut. Even then though, Cotto will still have won enough rounds to at least make the scorecards worth hearing.
He's -170 now at Bookmaker. I would figure Cotto would be -300 here based on name recognition alone. Fighting in NYC.. to the average bettor, Cotto almost seems too easy here. Most definitely reverse line movement here.
Bottom line is, they are both going in different directions. This fight is massive for Yuri, while I haven't been impressed with Cotto, since his win over Mosley in 07'. I admire his heart in the Clottey fight, but Clottey obviously could of/should of won that fight. Regardless, Cotto is a former shell of the hungry fighter he once was.
95% chance this goes to a decision.
80% chance Foreman wins.
-- IMO.
Both derseve an above average sized wager.
BTW, what do you think of Martirosyan tonight? I think -315 is a HUGE value, and he should sleepwalk to a UD.
Foreman by UD sounds about right.
They robbed Clottey, so I doubt they will have much of a problem robbing Foreman.
Martirosyan just has a much better resume. At least he has a couple names like Ouma (past prime) and Medina (still dangerous). I've never even seen Joe Greene fight though. -315 is a great play, but knowing close to nothing about Joe Greene I wouldn't try to win more than half a unit on the play.
Didn't take the knee into consideration. Am I supposed to?
It's safe to say the over would have cleared if it wasn't for his bad knee.
Oh well, a loss is a loss.
