This Saturday, the SEC game that will have everyones attention is when the Tennessee Volunteers take their unbeaten record into Kyle Field to take on the also 5-0 Texas A&M Aggies. Both of these teams are ranked in the nations top ten and a win for either could boost them into contention not just for an SEC division title, but also a chance at the college football playoff.
The line at this time has the Aggies as the touchdown (-7) favorite over Tennessee. Much of this can be attributed to the dominance Texas A&M has shown, while Tennessee has had to pull out close ones to remain unbeaten. The public right now likes Tennessee to keep this game close. 63% of the documented action is on the Vols. As for the total points, the number is 56 combined and 56% of the bettors like the under in this one so far.
Brick by Brick. This has been the Tennessee motto ever since Butch Jones took over as head coach just a few years ago. Among many SEC fan bases outside of Knoxville, it became a joke. Year in and year out Tennessee was supposed to be the team to beat in the east. Well, this could be the year. Tennessee has yet to lose and they already have wins over the two other teams that were going to compete with them in the east: Florida and Georgia. Tennessee fell behind in both games. At one point Florida had them down 21-3 only to let the Vols come away with a 38-28 win snapping an eleven game losing streak to the Gators. Georgia had the Vols down 17-0 nearing half time. The game became a shootout late andthis pains me so much Okay, so I was at the Georgia/Tennessee game this past weekend in Athens, Georgia. I am a Georgia fan. After taking the lead over Tennessee with just 19 seconds to play we had it. Tennessee pulled off what may now go down as one of the top plays in Tennessee history with a 50 yard hailmary touchdown as time expired to stun Georgiaand me. Please allow me to go puke before finishing this

Okay, I am back. Tennessee does look good this season and it is starting to seem like they are 2016s team of destiny. It appears that no matter what, the Vols will find a way to win. This game is huge for Tennessee. Yes they have wins over Georgia and Florida but if Florida runs the table and Tennessee slips up the next two weeks against Texas A&M and Alabama, well, this season may not end the way the Vols want.
I am shocked how good Texas A&M looks this season. I thought they were going to have some major issues but they have come together and played well. Through fives games, the Aggies have the 12th best scoring defense in the nation along with the 31st scoring offense. The run game which ranks in the top 15 in FBS is the heart and soul of this offense and this is what could cause issues for Tennessee. Georgia was able to dictate the game early by just running the ball over and over. This is also what Appalachian State did in week one and how they shortened the game and made nearly the upset of the year. If the Aggies can run the ball at will, Tennessee may see their first loss of 2016.
This may sound clich but I could see this game ending a number of ways. I seriously would not be surprised with any outcome. Texas A&M by 17, Tennessee by 10, a five overtime showdownanything can happen. This game is going to depend on who shows up. Will Tennessee have a hangover from back to back HUGE wins? Will Texas A&M have a down week? Either way, here is my prediction. I do believe the Aggies will get the win, but I do not see a blowout by any means. Tennessee knows they now control their own destiny and the last thing they want to do is let this one slip away. They will keep it close but in the end A&M will win a tight 23-21 ball game.
