The Mountain West Conference offers up a good ol’ Western border rivalry to watch and bet when Colorado State and Wyoming battle for the Bronze Boot Friday night in Laramie.

The Cowboys started 5-1 this season and won their first two MWC games against New Mexico and Fresno State. They then lost a tough game at Air Force 34-27, before laying an egg last week against Boise State.

Wyoming returned 15 starters this season from a team that played 5-3 in the MWC last season. So the Cowboys were certainly hoping to contend for a spot in the conference championship game. Now, they might have to win out from here to make it.
