Boston College -4 vs. Clemson
The Clemson Tigers have KILLED their backers in recent times. An 0-8 ATS record their last 8 games and the firing of Tommy Bowden did little to slow the effects of a mis-managed ball team with some talent that simply is not on the same page. After losing at Wake Forest, Tommy lost his job, and then to add some salt to the wound, the new look Tigers managed a 4 point loss at home to Georgia Tech. Tiger QB Cullen Harper had surgery on his shoulder last week and should start but how effective will he be?
Boston College has numerous advantages in this game. Better rushing yards, more points per game scored, they only allow 265 yards per game on defense, this list goes on and on. In their last home game BC beat then ranked No. 17 Virginia Tech. Last week they went on the road and got beat down by the Tar Heels in a blowout loss, and come in here with their ears pinned back.
In their last 3 games, BC has averaged 30 ppg while the Tigers have scored only 13 ppg. BC has a better passing attack and while neither teams plays good defense, the skew on this game is that BC does allow more points, but far less yards. Not sure Clemson can muster the charge this late in the season with injury issues and a lame duck coach. Look for BC to bounce back this week at home.
